- nina replies to ccj| 7 repliesI was given this info by information when searching for Dell Technical Support. Turned out they were a third party company that supports Dell, but Dell does not support them. I got screwed for 139.99$, but they did fix my software problem. Dell of course didn't care.

- Nord| 9 repliesI used iYogi last August as a 3rd party provider of software support. They screwed up my computer and deleted the data from my calendar/contact manager. Now, in the last week, they have telephoned me four times. Each time I have told them I will not deal with them and I don't want to hear from them again. This evening I threatened to sic the Federal Communications Commission on them and the caller said he didn't know who that was. I just now filed the FCC complaint.

- cookie| 4 repliesunreputable company and dishonest. Somehow I got them on laptop computer when trying to reach Dell & McAfee with problem last month. They wanted a 30 day trial for 2 computers 1 yr if satisfied and charged $240 and rec'd no service. I have been calling to cancel and refund card before trial period ... I have Tried calling the 800 numbers with busy connections and also get out of service on NY # 650-622-2200 that was CC billing. They installed a service dock on both computers where you push to talk and of course that isn't working either. I can't believe I was that STUPID! Take my advice .... DON'T EVEN TALK TO THEM!!! It was an expensive mistake!

- DebWhen looking up "Microsoft help" number for help on computer program issues, I was given this number which was IYogi. It was first of all difficult to understand his accent but we managed to communicate with asking him to repeat several times. He took me through two "checks" and reported I had viruses on both the laptop already affecting 44 processes, and our desktop computers and to turn them off before it progressed. He then asked for a credit card so they could be fixed and along with the fix would provide a year's insurance all for just $309. I reported I would need to discuss with my husband before getting them fixed, hung up, and left the computers off. My husband, smart man that he is, ran Kaspersky which had caught some problems before, then also signed up for trial Norton and ran that too. Both Kaspersky and Norton (two top rated security systems) gave the all clear on both our computers. Neither computer was infected and my little problems were corrected with my husband's help. The IYogi help was BOGUS!!!!

- Sammy replies to joshI called McAfee thought I had McAfee but instead got iYogi....they told me I had a virus and before I knew it paid $200. I do not believe I had a virus and feel I was taken. I called McAfee complaining but I am out of $200 and you do stay on the phone with tech for hours. How did they end up on McAfee's phone number. I was certainly in the dark.
- anonymous| 1 replyGoogle "iyogi scam" and read about how iyogi rips you off.
- DC1_usnavyjwell I am glad to say that I did not pay them befor I looked up the number. I do have to say that all of you are right when you say they know nothing about computers. the guy I talked to spent over an hour telling me that the problem with my computer was this that and the other thing and the only way I could get rid of the problem was to get there "service pack" YA RIGHT!!! they were going to charg me $169.99 for life time tec suport and some other stuff I never needed in the first place. also when I told him I could not aford the $169 his reply was. "well then you tell me who would help you if you dont pay them" no real cumpany would ever talk to you like that if they are trying to sell you somthing. all I have to say is dont use them dont try to talk to them dont even fathom the idea.
