- bigmo replies to ninaI did it too. This time I got that number when checking Epson. When the guy said they would fix it for only $200 I said I was not interested (after about 1hr.) and hung up. After about 2 hrs I was not able to get on line. Took it to Best Buy but they couldn't fix it so I went home and was able to reset to an early date. It works OK now. Hope no one has to do that !
- Jess| 4 repliesThis company called my house three times in the past week.I all ready know about the scam so when I got this call I had some fun with it lol. I let them talk for awhile and they told me that there where major securty threats on my windows computer. I then told them I had a Mac lol. They didn't know what to say and told me they would call me back. Well I then told them to get real jobs and I don't really want to repeat what I said but it was fun.
The really funny thing was that he called back ten min later and told me that they conecteted to my Mac and there are many problems on that computer to. So stupid.
Well just to mess with them some more I then told them I was mistaken and I don't have a Mac I had a Dell pc. I asked him how he remotely assessed my mac if I don't have one said a few more words and he hung up on me , soooo great.
That company called back tonight always with a private number and well this time I played nice and told them I want the phone number they gave me 1800-237-3901 and he also gave me a email address that was ( rescueteam07@gmail.com) I then laughed and hung up
It sucks that there are people in this world getting payed to rip hard working people off.
I don't have a Mac or a Dell I have a hp lap top lol- Caller: 1-800-237-3901
- Confusedddd??| 1 replyI recieved 11 calls from this number today! No messages, and I couldn't answer my phone cause I was at work! I have never recieved 800 numbers on my cell phone, due to being on the "DO NOT CALL ME" list online, and yes it does block because I have never been called. I'm very confused as why they have called me, as the only tech support I have called before is for my modem. Does anyone know if D-Link Modems could have given out my number???
- Caller: Not sure
- Jess replies to Confusedddd??I'm pretty sure they just get the phone numbers from the phone book. I took over my fathers number when he passed away and when they called my home number they asked for him first and when I said that he was no longer at this number they said the address that was in the phonebook so I knew the company was really bull$@"/.
- ElizabethI just got a call from this number. I was calling avast! I needed to hang up before I spoke with them. As soon as I hung up I got a call from this number but didn't answer. I checked the voicemail there was a period of silence and some talking but could not understand. How do you block calls on your cell phone.
