- TTThe first time they called, they didn't leave a message. The second time they called, I picked up and got an automated prompt asking me to take a survey on how well my tech did installing my Comcast cable internet service.
I did indeed have a Comcast contractor install the service, but a message or live person from Comcast would have made me more inclined to participate, rather than "To continue on to the survey, please press 1". Instead, I hung up.- Caller: Comcast

- Annoyed replies to earnest| 1 replyIf you ever have to return (or exchange) equipment to Comcast, make sure you keep copies of all documentation that they received the equipment, etc.--forever! Don't throw them away, because you never know when they'll be the only things saving you from paying hundreds of $$ for returning crappy equipment you don't even have. You can't tell where those cable boxes end up once they leave your house.
I returned a cable box when I switched to an HD one instead, and months later I noticed billings for movies I never rented--in fact I'd just bought some of those movies on DVD, so why the heck would I pay $4.99 or whatever AFTERWARDS to watch them on Comcast?!? They said the box was still under my name, even though I'm sure they could tell the signal was going to someone else's household! I hadn't noticed the extra box charges right away, because the rep had specifically told me that I'd have to pay so & so amount and an additional so & so amount for the upgrade. Question any charges that don't make sense, and don't take it for granted that companies are honest & want to retain your business. - pegsi am not a comcast customer and so they have no reason to call me.
- Dan| 1 replyMy wife told me yesterday that Comcast had called, about some installation. I told her it cannot be, we have nothing with Comcast. Weird thing is, today they called me twice at *work*, did not leave a message. How do they have my home and work number? Why are they calling?
I called the number back, and they passed me to a technician, who said to disregard the calls if I have no business with them. And that if they call again, to call back and they would trace it.
