They call at least once a day, and if someone picks up there is 10-15 seconds silence.  I assume that it is rerouted to a person.  I waited once, they always have heavy accents and super English names.  It's always either duct cleaning or something like that.  Funniest bit is when I say yes, sure, I want duct cleaning THEY hang up.

Hilarious!  I like to think that the shock of an immediate and enthusiastic yes makes them panic and hit the wrong button.

The just called me 7 SEVEN times in about 3 hours.

They call and say nothing expecting everyone to call back so when/if you do call back they charge your lan line for the call therefore making the company money. Only thing that would make sense for them to be constantly calling and saying nothing. If you proove vulnerable to what they do they will also sell your numbers to other scam companys as another form of profit.

Call display & name are great. No name with the number , I don't answer any of them. Usually a scam.

Like hurting your own ears, do you? Because that's all you'll do with that stunt. Modern phones don't transmit sounds at harmful levels.

They call my number as many as 10 times a day. Blocked- but my phone rings once and provides a record of the incoming numbers. Class action for harassment? Include the telecom firm that knowingly provides them with the platform to do what they do? Talking to them does not help.

I love you people and your "class action" lawsuits.  So, why not get it started yourself?  Why are you waiting for someone else to start it?  Also, please let us know, once you have started that class action lawsuit against the telecom firm how it is going.

Have been receiving at least 2 calls a day to my cell phone from this number. Finally answered it yesterday. Third party for Enercare, the accent sounded like they might be Indian. Referred to me as a valuable Enercare customer. I corrected him that I have not been with them in over 7 months. Then tried to sell me on maintenance servicing for a furnace, hot water tank. Told them I do not have those. (Have combiboiler). Then same about a/c, which I also indicated I do not have. I told him that I had to go, since I was at work. He paused for a second, and then proceeded to read from his script so I hung up.
Got another call today from that number. They are relentless.

This is nothing but a scam!
Do not call back or they will get your name and spoof your number.

These guys are scammers! Don’t answer, and definitely don’t fall for their scam. They’ve been the focus of multiple lawsuits.

They called and my aunt picked up. Because of her weak English, she told them to hang on while she got me. In the minute it took her to walk down stairs, they had already hung up/put her on hold because all I heard was beeping

Appears as 'Unknown' on call display. There's no answer. Just dead air.

Apparently this is Direct Energy but this is the 1st call from this ph.#. I would love to re-route their calls back to some East Indian sounding telemarketer that keeps calling. Wonder if Rogers has this ability? Anyway,I live in an apartment  with electric heat. Why the heck are they calling me?!! I dont answer numbers I dont know,but Im sure theyll keep calling-just because they can.

Started calling me in November. Twice this month already. No caller ID. No msg left. I have no business relationship with either Direct Energy or Enercare. Never answer their calls.

I just got another call from 800-266-3939.  I've learned not to answer this number.  It's people pretending to be Enercare.  I called Enercare and it is their phone number but they do not call their customers.  Please call the anti-fraud line 1-888-495-8501, or report online: www.antifraudcentre.ca.

it calls several times/day and does not leave a message or respond when I pick up. I have no  outstanding service issues with our supplier

Answered call and there was no-one at the other end... i.e. dead air

I need a home phone where the person calling has to enter an extension number before it can make my phone ring... Only people i know get the extension number
