I get these calls at least once a week saying they are transitioning from Direct Energy to the new company. I'm not even with Direct Energy, so stop calling me!!

Once a weekday from this number, silent calls. Obviously harass! But I doubt if it's from Direct Energy. It may be a manipulated number by a VoIP software. Anyway to stop it?

This is true. I received a call from this number but didn't answer. It was exactly as stated here.. They were simply booking appointment for new furnace / AC'a we purchased last year from direct energy.

OMG! This number called me 6 times in a row! The woman was impossible to understand. I told her every time she called that I was not interested in what she was peddling, she kept calling back. Direct Energy needs to stop this! This woman ended up yelling at me? WTF!

A new record for me - 17 calls over a 4-day period. I normally get only a dozen or so at the rate of 3 calls per day. Where can I buy a bear whistle?

Called me again today.  Several other calls from them over past few days.  I put in a new furnace from them earlier this year, wondering why would they be calling me to drum up more business.  There ^is^ no more business!

Sigh.  I'm their customer so they have a right to call me.  Unfortunately the salesperson who called today was very difficult to understand - a combination of very thick accent and inability to read and verbalize the script.  My good news is that I recently changed my home phone number to a cell phone and the cell phone comes with a native function that allows one to put a calling number on a 'reject' list.  Consequently I not only save money by doing away with the home line, but I am mobile and can also reject calling numbers!  Since switching to my new mobile phone I am down to about one of these calls every week.

Do not speak to these people.  Will drive you crazy.  Yes, Direct Energy has tried to rebrand themselves to lose the bad reputation they have. They are now Enercare.  However, they are the same company as they always were.  Bad.  And to top it off they now appear to be on commission.  Just needed to have our furnance repaired under a protection plan and I had to call them over three days.  Every single time I called checking on the status of the portable heaters until they could come, then to confirm how many heaters needed and then to follow up after the service call with a complaint, the person on the other end of the phone kept trying to "hard sell" me on buying additional protection plans.  However, they have not even fixed the furnace correctly.  Were more concerned about selling me something than providing the customer service that should have come with the plan I already have.   The furnace blew up because a previous service person hooked up something incorrectly leaving us without heat for 2 days before they could come out.  And after the repair the furnace is 4x noisier than it was before it broke down.  DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM DIRECT ENERGY / ENERCARE.

Called and left voicemail saying he was from CRA. My husband called for a little fun.  When the caller  talked threatened with talk about convening a Grand Jury, laughter ensued.

Marketer from Enercare, formerly Direct Energy.  Very polite gentleman asked if we had anyone doing our furnace maintenance and when I confirmed that we did have a contractor he politely thanked me and terminated the conversation.

please block that number.

Annoyance call.  Didn't answer as it was an 800 number/will put a block on the number if it comes up again.
