Same thing here. I have received SEVERAL calls from this William Fields person saying I have a returned check etc and threatening legal action. I balance my checkbook, and I know when checks clear etc. I know I don't have any returned checks. THIS HAS GOT TO BE A SCAM. I just delete his messages.

The first phone call I received from this number was from a Mr. Tracy.  Off the bat he started threatening me with a judgement. That was 3 weeks ago.  He calls all the time saying that this is my last day to set up payment arrangements. He has called my employer saying he is verifying employment, and asks for the fax number so he can fax over the forms needed to start the judgement.  If he was smart at all, he would know that judgement papers have to go through the courts first. I am just gonna sit back and see how long this goes on. Little do they know that I have every phone call recorded.

This place called me and the caller ID showed as a local Dallas number 214-666-3833 and it was an automated message saying that they had given ample time to take care of a debt and I should call them immediately if I wish to make restitution at 1-800-290-1065.  ITS A SCAM! If you call that the 214 number back it is a debt collector called PDL Group.  There is a PDL Assistance that helps people get out of payday loan debt but this is not them.  If you don't say anything they place you on hold.  Idiots!

I got a second call today from this crazy company.  Their website is pdlrecovery.com and they have a place to make a complaint as if they even read them.  I placed a complaint.  Today I go further and begin turning them into their Attorney General Office in their State, the Federal Trade Commission and any other authorities I deem necessary.  They portray themselves to have a number in my local city however they are in a completely other state and not even legal to be collecting in mine much less making the threats and allegations they make.  I am mailing a letter requesting any "VALID" documentation they may have concerning the so called case but will probably never see anything as it is a "SCAM!"

Stupid guy asking for someone I don't even talk 2 anymore.  I assume they didn't pay some kind of loan back.  Asking me questions about this person then threatening me/them in Spanish then hung up.    He didn't even have the nerve to tell me in English.  Stupid people.

Never ever give someone information about your card - especially if you don't have proof of the debt from the collector.  If they refuse to send you proof through USPS mail you should refuse your payment information.  I would report the card lost and cancel it immediately.
These guys are crooks and unethical cowards.

In response to the formally employed individual, everything he says is true. Miss Shaeffer the owners sister in law, also goes by Miss Belstadt. Threats are the norm, suing and actions are not. All that is said by anyone in this company is untrue except for your personal information. Myself as an associate participate in this but a little more lax because I get along with my associates as well as the clients on the phone, so they trust me. Payday loans, in particular these here are purchased for 5 to 10 cents on the dollar of the listed balance that is owed. Any judgement has to go through an attorney then court first prior to be sent to the reciever of it. A couple of associates also had their payroll checks bounce this past pay period as well. If it isn't that direct deposit will be negated for weeks on end for no reason what so ever. PDL Recovery Group, LLC formally Vision Credit Solutions, one of the few "chop shops" still surviving. I rest my case.

I received a call from PDL this morning and the lady informed me that I owed $88 to Check N Go and was very pleasant at first. Then I told her I lost my job awhile back and wouldn't be able to make pymts until I found work. Every month I borrow money in order to keep my cell phone on in case someone calls me for a job interview. She told me they'd be charging me interest in the amt of $65 every two weeks until its paid. I told her that was pretty sad and she responded by telling me I was sad and pathetic, then she hung up in my face.

This is fraudulent. I received a recorded message from someone named William Fields. I called the number and a woman picked up and said PDL Group. She repeatedly asked for my info but I demanded to know what kind of company this was. She then hung up on me. If you receive a call or message from the company, report it to the FTC.

    Confusing
Came home to a message on machine from William Fields. There are 2 of us in this house. He did not say who the message was for and went into  a message about a returned check, etc. I did have a loan with Check N Go, but I got a call directly from them and am trying to figure things out with them. I closed my checking account back in April because of medical bills from an injury and now try to pay everything with cash or money orders when I can. I also just lost my job. I'm not about to given any personal information out to this person.

Earlier this year this company started calling me at work, home and cell from 214 666 3833 and 1 800 290 1065. The company calls each number one after the other leaving message that they are taking me to Court. Initially, I called them back and was placed on hold. This week starting August 1st the company has started calling again. Today (August 4, I have received a total of 15 calls about 5 for each contact number) threatening to take me to Court and it's only 11:00am CST. Isn't there something that can be done. My phones are ringing constantly until about 9pm or a few minutes later.
