Keeps calling me at work and threatening to take me to court

I recieved the same call today but I don't have enough info to report him to the BBB

Not only did i receive a phone call from them my sister did as well. They were looking for me,they were threatening me about a payday loan i owed.The caller started out with with William Fields then said they were from PDL Recovery.Are they legit?

Anyone reading this message please be aware:  PDL is a company that conducts illegal business, as they are neither bonded nor insured.  Also, their representatives do not follow FDCPA laws, as they will leave personal information on voicemail, they do not identify themselves as debt collectors,and they use illegal scare tactics to try and force uneducated people to pay debts that they may or may not actually owe.

I am a mortgage banker in Texas and had fraudulent accounts opened in my name over a year ago and had the pleasure of being contacted by this company.  They broke every law in the book within the first 45 seconds of the phone call.  What they do not know, however, is that I do know the laws, and also work closely with a consumer credit attorney :).  They have bitten off a bit more then they bargained for  as they will soon find out exactly what happens when you break the law.  

I hope this brings a smile to anyone's face who has been harrassed by this company!

Mary they are a company of some sorts, but they do not follow the laws.  Do not give them any information and you should report them to your State's Attorney General or consumer credit office.

I received a rude message yesterday from 800-290-1065. I have received this call in the past and it's usually from Michelle Williams and they are going to arrest me for fraud,etc. This time the man had a different name last name was strange, Fryar.. He didn't have an indian accent, he sounded african american, He told me he was going to documentation for check fraud to my local da's office (california) since I intentionally defrauded VIP Cash. I told him I never defrauded VIP and when I tried making payment arrangements with me Megan @ VIP was not reasonable with her arrangments and I have never recd any paperwork or notice of collection. Mr Fryar states I owe VIP $1000+ fees. I took out a $400 loan so at the most I would owe $520 and some fees. I told him I wasn't paying that and that I know from seeing this phone number on the internet that he was a SCAM with Mr Fields and Michelle Williams,. He got defensive and rude and I told him to send me documentation in the mail and I will follow up from there,. He said he would email me still haven't received anything.

I got a call last night from a woman named Johnie Lee from PDL but she had a different phone number.
( 814) 324 2003 .  Even though it's a different phone number, it sounds just like all of the posts above.  She had an accent and I could barely understand her.  She said I took out out a loan (OR SOMEONE  DID BECAUSE I SAID I DIDN"T) under my soc. sec. # for $300 in October of 2011 and had it deposited in my Bank of America bank account.  I even checked my statements to see if there was a deposit at all for $300 and there wasn't.  She threatened me with lawyers, a warrent for my arrest if I didn't pay it right away and all kinds of nasty stuff.  I asked her all kind of questions about it and she kept telling me all the information would be in a letter sent to me in the mail within a week after I paid her.  Come to think of it  , it was around 7pm at night too.  SO DUMB ME. I PAID HER WITH MY CREDIT CARD THINKING I COULD STOP THE CHARGES IF I NEEDED TO.  Well, that didn't work because when I called the credit card company , they said they couldn't do anything until 10-15 days after until it was posted. I called them back today and talked to that woman again and demanded to to talk to someone in charge.  She said the only one who was in charge would be the lawyer in charge of my case and he wasn't in right now, but she would leave my name and number and have him call me when he got back in.   Then I started doing some research on the company and found this.  I feel so STUPID for falling for this scam !!!!   How did they get all my information?  I didn't give it out to them last night .  They already had it, it seemed.  The only thing I gave them was my credit card number.

I was stupid and paid too.  I got ALL of my money back.  Just call your credit card company and file a dispute of charges for the amount.  They will most likely send you paper work for you to fill out.  In your statement make sure you write that you found out this was a fraudulent company and everything was a scam and you want a FULL refund.  Like I said I got all of my money back.  It may take a week or two but you should get it back.  Don't let them bully you.  If this happens again don't give out any info and tell them to mail you the claim.  They also can't have a judgement without taking you to court.  You would have been informed of a court date.  They are just horrible people stealing other people's hard earned money.

I've was receiving obnoxious phone calls 3 to 4 times a week at my place of employment from this number and I basically told the person that 3 times was considered harassment and if another "associate" called me from this number I would have grounds suite. The calls stopped for the month of January 2012 and they resumed again the beginning of February.

omg this company is a joke calling and threating to garish my wages and file a suit in court and all this other bs dont beleive them

How do we stop people like this from calling?

I also Had calls to my place of bussiness, they said I owed them a $1000.00 and that they were going to serve my Boss for papers on me. said I barrowed it and that they had a video that they got from my bank of me with drawling it ... Lie! my Purse was stolen about 5 mos ago and I tried to explain maybe that was it' I didnt know but I didnt know anything... He said he was going to serve me and my boss and was going to put me in jail unless i gave him a credit card right now for the amount' (I didnt ) but this is such a scam ! beware!

Jeffrey Drake is ridiculous!! He called me at work about 20 times this morning - get the info from this company and send a fax asking they cease and desist all contact. Also - go to FTC and FILE A COMPLAINT. The only way to stop these people is to report them to proper authorities!!!!

I saw a post that it was a CHECK-N-GO payday loan comp. I've never had that sort of loan, or any returns. I believe it's a SCAM!

These people said my wife took out a loan online and that she defaulted on a payment . How the they also said she owned her own flower shop. Hahahaha my wife is a stay at home mom thes are some ignorant poor excuses for humans that don't deserve to breath the same air as I .
