I get at least five calls a week from this number and it's always the same message. This is a urgent business matter and I need to press 1 if I am the person they are contacting. Even when I press the number 1 the call always gets disconnected. I have no debt to anyone that is in arrears or past due and this is just another one of the many scammers out there that have somehow gotten my personal information and is trying to see if I'll be dumb enough to send them money for a debt I do not owe.

they keep calling my house and hanging up when the answer machine picks up.  very annoying.

This number is calling a track phone that i have set up for a mentally challenged person who has NEVER had any debt or even credit in general for that matter.  Its crazy.. ive had her number changed twice!  As soon as the number changes, the same place calls.  She only knows how to open and close the phone and she can only use speed dial (which i have set up with colored stickers for her to remember which button calls which person).... they are waisting all of her minutes because she doesnt understand when she is answering the phone and thinks someone is calling to talk to her.

I put numbers that are annoying into a D file in my phone.  Whenever they call... "Oh! D is calling.  I never talk to D."

I can tell you this much... I didn't have any issues with odd phone #'s calling my cell until last week when I added my # to the National Do Not Call List.... hmmmmmmm????

How to fight back. I do not answer my phone when a toll free number calls me or when a number I do not know calls me. I type the number into google and I find out who owns it. Almost all of the time a toll free number or a number I do not know calls me it is TransWorld. The key is to not give them any information. Remove your name from your VM message and if you do answer the phone and they ask for you by name hang up without saying a word. look up the number in google and if its not Trans World call them back. If it is someone you need to talk to just tell them the call dropped. I have recieved calls from 12 different numbers for TransWorld here they are so can block them like I have.

I keep getting calls from this number several times a day but they never leave a message....I have started blowing a whistle into the phone hoping they will get the message...

I do not know what this call is about.  As far as I know, I do not have any accounts in collection. What do I need to do to make them stop?

Trans World Incorporated. Debt collector for old Medical bills. Medical office failed to call them off after bills paid. Very aggressive group. If it's for medical bills call those you paid and tell them to back off.

They continue to call my house looking for someone when I tell them they have the wrong number and to not call my house they wait a few days and call from another number.  Today they skye me from a city near my house to make me think they was from the town.  When I called them back they said they was from Transworld.  I told them that I had look up the number and that they was a scam and hung up the phone on them.  They called back stated that (Ms. Parker) that she was not finished talking to me because she wanted to leave a message for the person.  She was told again not to call my house and that the person did not live at this resident.  A few hours later a new number called from another location and was told the same thing.  I am so sick and tired they call every person with the same last name as the person that they are trying scam to scare the people into giving them information.  I heard that if you have ever taken out a payday loan this is where they get most of their numbers from.

12/2011     same here,  could be student loan collection,   talk radio says that debt cant be wiped out, even with bankruptcy-?   im in arizona.

This number called me and I didn't answer. 20 minutes later, they called again. I answered and it was a recording telling me I had won $100 and instructing me to go to their website to claim it. Then it hung up. Ugh.
