- Tired of robo scam callsCall today left a message about signing up for insurance. Stressed it was federal law. Don't know why they called as all members of this household have insurance which thankfully is not through Obamacare. Only household member without insurance is our dog which unless something has changed is not required of him.

- GateKeeperSo, this number called my cell phone.
If you Google it, you get this page;

However, weirdly enough, when I called it back completely on accident - tried to delete the entry, but ended up calling...duh...) the gal I spoke with said they don't use this number as an outgoing number, it's used for inbound calls only...so...be EXTREMELY careful if this number calls you. She could be mistaken, but it could be spoofed, and you could hand out your information to a criminal. - LPIts The health care marketplace pushing Obama Care....Rat [***]!

- dave| 1 replyRobo call. Claims to be healthcare.gov. Gave same number as displayed. Reading other reports, not sure what to believe. It never requested any information and I let it run through the whole pitch, but why would the government show "unknown caller" on the id?
- Caller: healthcare.gov?
- Call type: Event reminder
- MacMeanie replies to Kevin| 19 repliesIt absolutely is telemarketing! The only difference between what you are calling a telemarketer and these people calling is these people are calling regarding the Federal Health Care debacle. They are calling anyone with a possibility of needing health care coverage. If you lost, changed, applied and were denied or had any sort of change in your previous coverage, they are reaching out for you. The justification of ObamaCare is the ONLY difference. They still are trying to get your money, whether you want there crappy coverage or not!
I have Medicare and by law they are NOT allowed to solicit me, but they still do! This is the second year the have called me! I intend to file suit for the violations before they go bankrupt. (Meaning the exchanges, not the Government.) - InsuredinmichI do not know why this number is calling me. I have been insured for the past year and do not make enough to be stuck with Obamacare.

- ObamaLIES replies to JAMYL| 1 replyI would rather pay (ignore paying) the fine than doing anything else for out corrupt gub'ment
- HouseByTheRoad| 2 repliesI already have a letter from the Obamacare .gov entity. I live in Texas, which does not support low income health care insurance (unless a person is on welfare, which I am not). The feds know this. When they want to contact me, they email or send a printed letter through the mail. There is no reason at all to be calling me, especially about something that the feds already know I can do nothing about. This is clearly a telemarketing call. It was even recorded, which is illegal. I'm reporting them to the FTC. The FTC needs to know this is going on. These are telemarketers disguising themselves as a government entity, which is super-duper illegal.

- HouseByTheRoad replies to HouseByTheRoadIf anybody reads this far, please! please! please! NEVER give your private information to anyone over the phone! Especially NOT your Social Security Number!
- HouseByTheRoad| 3 repliesLook! It IS a scam, and the feds knew about it in 2013!
"Many Americans are unsure exactly how the new law [ACA] works. It's this kind of confusion that opens the door for con-men and scam artists.
Two weeks before Obamacare was set to launch, Attorney General Eric Holder met with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) chairwoman and other senior government officials to discuss the possible risk of abuse. The goal was a coordinated, preemptive effort by the Obama administration to organize against instances of fraud everyone anticipated.
The plan was for the FTC to team up with the Marketplace Call Center to route complaints into the FTC Consumer Sentinel Network, where complaints are filtered and forwarded on to law enforcement.
'We will be vigilant as always in cracking down on this type of opportunistic fraud,' said Edith Ramirez, the FTC chairwoman.
The most common type of scam happens over the phone."
