Just got a call purportedly from AT&T conducting a satisfaction survey that would give me billing credit for participating. I hung up when they asked for my AT&T PIN. When iCal the number they have a few layers of an AT&T customer services ce set up. If you take your time to go through it you never get to a representative. BEWARE this is a fraudulent call.

Just got a call today doing this very scam. Almost fell for it.

funny you say that because I just got off the phone with AT&T and then I get a call from this 800 number. I answered it but they hung up. Do you think I will be charged for something?

Exact same thing. CanceledATT mobile and got call from this # within an hour. Didn't answer.

So this number called... THIS IS A REGISTERED NUMBER WITH ATT. I was on the phone and some guy/heavy accent was asking me series of questions with my satisfaction with ATT then asked for my last4 # of social, my passcode and to confirm my address. This never happens with ATT so I immediately hung up and called ATT. I was informed that this has been happening a lot recently. "THE SCAMMER" spoofs the caller id to trick you into thinking its ATT and takes your info to charge stuff onto your account. Please do not take survey, ATT does not do that. So glad I caught this early. PLEASE BEWARE

There is a new scam out where they get as much information as possible from you and then go to the store, claim their phone was lost or stolen, and buy brand new expensive phones to resell using your account information.  You phone gets disconnected which is how you learn there is a problem.

This was not answered though I did see the number when they were calling.  I pay for a phone to not answer it...it almost sounds like a con of some kind.

Yep, it's a Scam from 1800 -331- 0500 never pick up when it call  from that number hang up asap!

I had an online chat going with AT&T today about a question on my bill. We were accidentally disconnected and the same agent called me from that phone number. So it is a customer service phone number for AT&T.

I have not ask to have paperless billing as the text from this number stated.

I received a call from this # and they wanted me to do a survey for AT&T.  Would give me a $20 dollar credit for each line.  However, then they wanted my pass code.  Said I would not be able to give it to them since I did not know who they were. Called AT&T and they said it is a scam to get access to my account to order phones. By the way the # on my caller ID was the AT&T number but not AT&T!

I received a call yesterday from a Foreigner saying he was from ATT going to give $20 credit on my next bill if I answer 3 questions.   I did not give him any information

They randomly called and then an automatic voice just said 'goodbye' a few minutes after I picked up. I picked it up thinking it was my friend so yeah

I received the same call last night so i called at&t and told them what was happening and gave him the number that called me at which time he said he called the number and was connecting to a lady in customer service that could help me the first thing she asked me was for my ss# i said i am not giving that to you it has nothing to do with my account she said ok fine but that is the only way we can look it up for you she said i will connect you to the fraud department i waited on hold for 25 mins then hung up no one ever came on the line makes me wonder if someone within at&t is involved with this scam

Those lists are for people who play by the rules. Really good sales reps won't call numbers on the do not call list, because trying to sell to someone that says they don't want to buy anything is a waste of time. For all others, they ignore the list.

My phone is not my phone  it freezes and everything is forwarded to another phone I feel like an empty shell out.!!!!
