- Wendy| 1 replyI got a call from this number on my cell for the first time yesterday. The phone is not in my name, nor do I have a well-known number. After reading here that it is ATT, it is starting to make sense. My phone was rolled into a family plan with Cingular some time ago, and my old account had carried a credit balance ever since. I finally called to get a refund on the balance about a week ago. I guess I somehow made myself known to AT&T by doing so. Guess I have to let my dad know to expect the charge!
- Joker| 2 repliesI just spoke with an AT&T representative and got the charge for this month removed, however he said they were not affiliated with the Bid4Prizes3.com. But where it lists the merchant's number it is in fact At&T. He informed me that the only way that I could have been charged was through an internet 3rd party. It is apparent to me that I need to call back and will do so and let you know the outcome. For those of you who do not know what to do, you can call AT&T and get the charges stopped; as far as reimbursement for the others, AT&T claims they are unable to assit in that matter. I will update later.
- Not very happy....but satisfied| 1 replyI just spoke with an AT&T customer service rep for about 20 minutes (considering my billing rate is $150 an hour, I'm not very happy) to correct this problem. The AT&T number (800-331-0500) is a billing service number for AT&T. It is apparently not associated with Motricity. The rep told me "someone" either called or responded to a text for this subscription service. He did a quick (3 minute) investigation and said it was subscribed to on September 3rd. After a quick review of my own detailed bill, I assured the rep that my bill did not show any such call or text. The rep refunded the amount of all the charges and cancelled the subscription. By the way, the AT&T rep was very nice and cooperative and it somewhat changed my views on how AT&T does business. I hope this helps.

- BrandyHmmm... Go figure, I had some charges from the same company Motricity and the bill reads Bid4prizes3... I remember getting a text from some screwed up company and my husband said he will take care of it and replied stop in the subject line. My phone doesn't show anything where we got the text or where we sent stop back. This is very annoying and I called last month and I was suppose to get a credit and never did then I see another freakin charged and was pissed. She said she didn't see where the credit was issued last month but can only give me a one time curtious credit. THis crap is for the birds!!! You can put a purchase blocker on any line and that's what I had to do today cause last month I took the texting off and that didn't work...

- Chulaboy| 3 repliesI just got off the phone with AT&T. They say they will block the charge, but it may take a month or two for it to take effect. So, I then went to the Bid4Prizes web site and found an 800 number for customer support. I called and found out that the number is for a parent company that services Bid4Prizes accounts. I asked how I got subscribed to the Bid4Prizes and they said it happened when I signed up for a free PhotoBucket account. They said that I checked a box that offered free gifts. So, now I know how it happened. Now, to fix it.
The woman at Bid4Prizes was very nice and I asked for her to cancel the subscription, effective today. She said that the subscription would end immediately. So, now we wait. Hopefully, it will have a happy ending. I am prepared to make another call to AT&T next month if necessary.
Here is the contact information from the Bid4Prizes web site, so you can try to fix your problems.

- Kelly| 1 replyI had the same problem!
Bid4Prizes3 charged me for $9.99 and MStyle charged me for $14.99.
They both had the same merchant contact, so I'm sure they are the same scamming company.
I just hang up on the phone with AT&T(Cingular) and you know what? They gave me a credit for this.
If you notice this fradulant transaction on your phone bill, contact your phone company immediately. Sending a "STOP" text will actually stop the subscription, but they will still charge you. Just contact phone company and go from there.- Caller: Motricity

- Chris| 8 repliesI too have just noticed on my current bill that I was charged $9.99. I never even got a text or call from this company but according to AT&T they said I did. I am on a family plan with a friend. He called AT&T and they would not reverse the charge. The 9.99 charge was linked to my number. After I noticed this I immediately did some research on this matter and to my surprise I noticed that there were a bunch of AT&T customers discussing the same issue. A relief... but it makes me uneasy considering all you have to do is enter ANY phone number and that number will be charged!? An ex or a pissed off person who has your number could enter it in and you wouldn't know it for some time.
I'm going to call my local news station to inform them of this matter. I do not know who is at fault AT&T or this "Bid4Prizes3" company.
I think it's pretty sad that there isn't any laws that would prevent this type of shyt from happening.- Caller: Motricity

- Chris replies to Chris| 1 replyMe again - I just called the "Bid4Prizes3" customer service number. I asked them if you can just input any number and if the charging just begins. The customer rep. said "no. they send out a confirmation number" implying that you must be the owner of the phone and must accept the charges. First, I know thats a lie cause who would do that? and second, I never received a text or a confirmation number, nor did I initially sign up for this BS service.
I will keep updating when more becomes clear. As it sits... they said they stopped it but who knows? - helen ford| 3 repliesI keep getting text messages from bid4prizes3 and I am being charged 10.47 every month and I do not read the text messages. Is there any way that I can get them to stop sending me these messages.

- *duh* replies to helen fordummm, did you read ANY of the posts above?!?!?!
- Jess| 1 replyCalled the Bid4Prizes3 customer service and they have the dumbest and rudest people working there. One rep told me I had to input my number online, and then I would've received a confirmation number as a text, and then I would have had to reply to start the service. I said I've NEVER done that, and she told me "You did, you probably just forgot." She was extremeley rude and mumbled into the phone. So I just asked her to cancel the service. Then I spoke to another rep, and she told me that I signed up for a Photobucket account, which I don't even HAVE! Each rep told me I needed to text to confirm, that's the only way the service can start. But that is complete BS because I've never received any text from them. I think they charge you regardless of whether you confirm or not. I agree with Chris from above - I think you can enter in anyone's number, and they can start charging. OR, anyone can enter in your number.
Unfortunately, I didn't catch this 9.99 charge on my phone until this month. And apparently they started charging me starting 6 months ago. Since I stupidly didn't catch it, I have been paying these [***] for 6 months!!! I called AT&T and they were so nice about it. They were able to refund me 3 months, but couldn't go farther back than 3 months. One ATT rep told me this happens a lot (uhhh then can't someone FIX IT??), and one way to stop it is to block your internet service on your phone. Since I don't use the internet, I blocked the service. I'm not sure if this will help, but I figured since I cancelled both with Bid4Prizes3 AND ATT, something must work. If not, I'm going to be so pissed.- Caller: Motricity

- ROdude I let a friend use one of my lines and we split the cost,
which is cool but ive noticed a jump in the cost and at first i thought it was pay per use messeging but looked closer and it says "flycell" 9.99
and its billed each month, well i guess my friend was an idiot and did something to get this charge, anyway ive been eating it since it seemed legit looks like I have to hit my friend up for the past charges. and get this taken off my phone!- Caller: flycell Mblox
- MaryHad two calls from this number in the month of November 11/13 and 11/14. Charged on my bill $10.59 each.

- Abel ConsejeroYes; I got a charge in my cellular for $30.87 for a company call Bid4Prizes3 that I don't even know who they are, when I call to their phone 1-800-331-0500 they told me that they send a mobile messaging to my phone and the is the charge.
First I did not received any message from this company, second I did not authorize any charge to my phone, and third my phone is register to the do not call program.
Therefore, this company is really breaking the law.
In addition, I was informing that this company is under the umbrella of AT&T, which also is my phone company.- Caller: BID4PRIZE3

- SonyaSame story here. Charges started when I added a new phone to my plan. I didn't have any problems with AT&T reversing charges OR cancelling the subscription I suposedly agreed to.
I called the ATT Wireless Services number: 1-800-331-5000 - MaggieFemale caller asked if this was AT&T Fulfillment Center. I told her "no" and gave our company name. I Googled the number and found out she was WITH AT&T. The number she called from was 800-331-0500

- Robert RayWell, guess what, so did I get charged $9.99 each for 2 text messages; whether you respond to text or not you get charged $9.99. This is such a scam!!!! I just called ATT and they credited my account for these charges and had a block put on my cell that way it will stop these unauthorized charges. Also these so called downloads such as Bid4Prizes3, logia mobile, motricity, etc. are a BIG SCAM! Please look carefully at your phone bill, if you see DirectBill Download Details or Communications Download and did not even authorize these charges, you'll be automatilly charged even if you did not respond to text message. Have these downloads blocked because all have same # which is 1-800-331-0500, Plz don't call them, in case you may be charged, just call ATT customer service for help in removing & blocking these charges. Also check next month bill to see if your acct. was credited and there are no more charges and your block was activated on these unauthorized charges, since last month I called about this and other charges on my bill. I hope this info helps others.
