The phone number is from Bell mobility accounts receivable I had owe a balance from a cancelled phone.

They have been calling my cell for the past few days and it's been every 3 hours! I owe some money at the moment which will be resolved in the next couple of days but I guess I have to have them remind me 6 times a day! It's pathetic really!!

They call me twice a day and I'm ready to snap.  Is there anything I can do about this?

Claims to be from the phone company and asks for personal and financial information.

My son has a cell through Solo (Bell) which is paid for him by his grandmother. Every month around the same time we are harassed by this number. Both on his cell and our land line multiple times a day. It is driving us nuts! They phone early AM, during school and right through the evening. I've talked to my mother who said that she pays both her bill and my son's on the due date but she gets harassed as well and often overcharged on her data plan. Don't go through Bell or Solo, they have no regard for their clients. My husband went through Rogers, same thing - he has been trying to cancel his contact ever since it expired in August but still gets a bill! I have recently found out that my son is not on contract so I've asked her to cancel his service. Bell can go to hell! I'll open a Virgin account for him. I've been with them for eight years and never a problem!

If this is Bell Mobility, I wonder why this number does NOT show up on their Contact Us page at http://support.bell.ca/Contact-us 

It seems that the name of the game here is confusion.  Some say that it IS Bell and others that it is not.  My vote goes with the latter.

I have just followed up a number I am getting calls from on my home phone supposedly from Shaw Cable and the same thing is happening there.  My guess is that some of the affirmations that these calls are coming from the actual companies themselves may be being posted here by the actual scammers themselves.  Maybe that is why the hosts of this site ask us to post 'only truthful information' at the bottom of this page.

If in doubt go to that company's website (whether Bell, Telus or whoever) and check out what numbers are showing on their Contact Us page.  My guess it that you will NOT find the one that is calling you.  Which means the likely alternative is that it is a scam / spam of some sort.

Whatever their faults may be, companies like Bell, Telus, Shaw, etc are legitimate and professional.  They would not be auto (robo) dialing both actual and non-customers and then hanging up on us when we answer.  Whatever the real reason is behind this sort of harassment it is not likely coming from such companies as these.

My suggestion would be, if you do have call blocking as a service on your cell or home phone, do use it to block such nuisance callers. They may not go away immediately but at least you will know when one of them is calling when your phone blocks them right away.

A 'PS' to my previous comment; if you do have call blocking as a service on your phone, do use it to block such nuisance callers.  They may not go away immediately but at least you will know when one of them is calling when your phone only rings once and then blocks them right away.

There may be other suggestions here that are worth considering as well.

Please ignore the bottom part of my previous post as I had copied it from the post I made re the supposed Shaw Cable calls.  It is all covered in the main body of my post re Bell Mobility anyway.

In other words, ignore the part after the first 'Caller Unknown'.

I'm with PC Mobile (President's Choice) -- these fools call all the damn time, even though my account has a huge credit.

Is this a scam? Received a call from bell's accounts receivables dept from this number asking for my mother, who passed away months ago. We settled her bill at that time, about six months ago. I told the CSR this and he started to sound flustered and told me to have a good day, hanging up. I called the Bell customer service line to make sure everything was paid in full, and the CSR on the customer service line told me it was paid in full in August.

What is this, a way to make extra cash off unsuspecting customers?

This number called today I was busy eating suppper... they left no message so I called it back and its says that its bell mobility but I have a pre paid cell with money on it so not really sure why they'd be calling if it is Bell at all?

They call us (Ontario, do not call list) as well. They do not leave messages.

I have never been with bell whatsoever but I recently have been receiving calls 4-6 times a day.. I called back today too see what this was about, and they have no record of my number on file.... Strange.

Yeah, and your Accounts Recievable department sucks. Multiple calls a day during work hours and when normal people are sleeping are not acceptable.

Someone should find all the Bell board of directors phone numbers and we could give them all a call!!

Tell you have never dealt with MTS (Manitoba Telecom Service). Bell is God sent after 10 years of MTS.

Told Solo to cancel  services, multiple times, but they are still harassing for their bill payment. I do not want their useless service.What are the options here?

i know exactly how you feel cause they called me every damn day and i'm sick of it..so,i said this to myself--if they(Bell Mobility) do that again on my cellphone 1 more time,then i'm calling the cops against them or else--i will have a good lawyer!!
