If you have a Rogers phone you can purchase Call Manager feature (only $5 per month and worth every penny!) and block their numbers.  They usually call from their 1-800 number and the home branch number.  Block both, in fact block all 1-800 numbers!  They haven't been able to get in contact with me other than mail, which is less invasive.  I already know that they aren't going to be flexible with my payments.  My debt is $5,000, used to be $4,000 stopped paying them about 8 months ago when I lost my job.  I am just going to ignore them.

phone calls! you know what i hate the most. is calling back a client that i already spoke with. you get 8-10 calls per day. we have 40-60 calls a day. every call. same situation,. once in a while we get customer whose vocabulary is LIMITED TO profane or obscene LANGUAGE, you know what we do after you guys scream your lungs out on the phone. we listen then we go to the next call. we get to talk to ALOT OF PEOPLE DIFFERENT REASON, same situation. well this is my rant as a collector.

regardless of your reason! whatever amount you owe. when your late witrh a payment it simply means your late. if you dont get a bill in the mail, if you dont know your due date, if your unemployed, if your this and that. it doesnt matter. rule are made to be followed. YOU SIGNED THE CONTRACT when you got the CARD! meaning YOU NEED TO FOLLOW WHAT YOU SIGNED UP FOR. people... its that simple,. you think the people on the other end of the line wants to talk to you-who is ignorant with what they owe. who doesnt care about their financial responsibility. who DOESNT EVEN KNOW ABOUT CREDIT RATING. who passes the payment responsibility to their spouse. for those who have an accnt with this bank, give them a call when your late with your payment and tell them when your going to pay YOUR BILL. people laugh when we collect payment for a small amount. tell me this, are you gonna laugh if you were not informed that you owe so little and it affected your credit score. imagine this, your in an office hoping to get a LOW interest on a mortgage or a personal loan but the bank cant give you what you hope for bec of a BAD CREDIT RATING..  then by the time you find that out. its too late. then the cycle begins. the client will blame the bank and so on ans so fort.

i hear your concerns with the number of calls, like i said i hate calling back to a client i have already spoken with. i'll be in your shoes if i get those number of calls. but before you rant and cloud your judgement with your emotions. try and figure out why your getting the calls. people we are not in a good economy right now, the number of unemployed citizens are increasing. business is not that good anymore compare to where you were at before. its the same [***]. we just need to move on and figure out an arrangment that will work for you and the credit provider.

btw signing up to a "DO NOT CALL LIST" is only applicable for telemarketing call or soliciting party.

After reading this I gave them a call.  They were looking for some guy I've never heard of who I guess used to have my cell phone number.
    Very annoying.
They just started calling me this week and have called probably like 12 times!
I really hate these kinds of calls where no one is one the line and it's some computer thing that wants YOU to hold for them.  It's like "NO, YOU CALLED ME!"

Yeah it's HSBC and apparently someone else gave my phone number as his/her contact number, so they have been calling me looking for this person.

Anyway, I called them back, asked them which name they have under my phone number (my cell phone, mind you) and it was definitely not mine.  So I told her that I don't know anyone by that name and that this number has been mine for over a year now.

She sent it on to investigations - She was actually quite nice to deal with and didn't make it a hassle.

I called these dudes. Quite simple to rectify. They were looking for the person that previously had my cell number. All good to deal with. Problem solved!

    The ringing in my ears!
Ahha! They slipped up and called me one time on this listed number.  These are the [***] that have been calling my cell for, no kidding, the last 6 months, 3-4 times a day, EVERYDAY, and never say anything or leave a message from an unknown number.  It's funny to find out who they are considering I don't even have a card or loan with HSBC!

They call everyday 3-4 times a day starting at 8:15, 11:30, 4:30 and 8:45 like fu@$ing clockwork.  I can pick up my cell almost everyday at those times to have it ring in my hand.  I've given up answering it because no one is there so I ignore the call.  I sent them a C&D letter by certified mail, maybe I can get some money for the months of the annoyance!

I keep getting calls from this number at all hours of the day and night.
I do not have anything with HSBC- Futureshop, The Brick... I have two cards. Both are Visa.

I first spoke with someone( you have to say hello or else it just hangs up) and asked that I get taken off the list...
They called 3 times the next day( today).
Spoke to 'Jane' and asked that I speak to a supervisor because they weren't supposed to call me again. She said no and hung up.

Does anyone know what options I have?
This is not bordering on harrasment. It is Harrasment.

Despite I’m on ‘Do not call’ list I had three deadly phone calls today from Future Shop-HSBC 1-800-361-5783 at 8:36 am, 2:26 pm and 4:17 pm. I know a person who asked them to call me - an employee of Future Shop. If this ‘MAN’ can’t resolve his OWN PRIVATE problems, how he may have a job to resolve any problem of Future Shop????

Don't want any call like this anymore?  I found the solution.  Buy Panasonic phone with "call blocker" that's the solution for that kind of calls.

    GARTH
these people are idiots. if the minimum balance required is $10 and i remit $50 and miss the next month, they start calling numberous times. i have destroyed my hbc card and will never use their products again. and, it's my cell they call which is really annoying. when i see the 800 number show up, i just abort the call. i will not call them as i don't want to speak to idiots who control the robo call (no messages are ever left) i never return a call if there is no message.

It's HSBC. Pay your bills on time, if you can't then call them back or pick up the phone. It's better to work out a payment plan of some sort, then ignore the calls and let it affect your credit.

That number has called here 6 times in the last 3 days, we don't have anything to do with HSBC and all we get is dead air when it calls. We're very annoyed!
