    Phone Ferret
I've been harassed by these a**clowns each night for weeks.  Per SOP I don't answer if I don't know.  Thank for the heads up.  I have never had a Time Warner / Comcast account with this number.
My state allows me to record calls, so time to let the fur fly.

    getting ticked off
These people are now calling my cell phone (i will do same as others, and turn off call).
when i answer, they ask if i am my wife, or someone that knows her.
I press 1, and then they ask if i am my wife, and say NO.

They then simply say that they will call back another time.

not sure how these people make money, but i am happy to help you all waste their money also.

    <------really dislikes Time Warner
Funny. They just called me. I haven't had service with themin over a year, as the condo I moved into a year ago was wired for UVerse. (thank goodness). I'd had TIme Warner for years and had issues several times with being double billed when I relocated and tried to transfer my service. I had to just pay it each time, because they wouldn't listen to reason. It was a day of great joy when I drove to Time Warner Cable to turn in my equipment and cut off my service for good. They issued me a refund check for the last month I had paid for, so I know that I don't owe them any money. Hmmm. Guess its not likely that they are trying to get in touch with me because they wish to refund the three months I was double billed and paid for eh? I would imagine that it is unlikely. Ugh. Glad this post is here so I could check on the number before answering!!!

This party calls every day at 8AM.  During the week the calls start at 8am and then 2pm then 7pm.  When I say hello the phone disconnects.  How can I stop them from annoying me all day long?

Welp it's evident that the incredible exposure those couple guys had came on here and started shedding on Time Warner cable. Was more than enough to have them abandon using this number.

But only in their hopes of the damning information not becoming even more widespread. But just like that ain't gonna work as well as they'd like. Because they've already done it, been doing it and now have gotten caught doing it and the masses are catching on.

Now going forward we've historically all been shown that and by Time Warner cable. That they're so cunning, crooked, criminal and now so desperate. That they've no doubt merely launched their continued attempts to misrepresent, defraud, harassment and annoy the masses via using other numbers.

I no longer have them, I'll certainly never have anything to do with them ever again. And I can't seriously see how anybody would or could welcome, accept or in anyway tolerate such an insidious outfit

its the best medicine for them, call them with angry words and curses and they hang up on you.

I got a recycled number for my no-contract cell phone over a year ago.  The person that had it before apparently had some kind of account with Charter Communications and Time Warner that they didn't bother to pay up.

While I haven't gotten the telemarketing or collection calls from Charter for a month or two after explaining to their scumbag people multiple times that they're calling a recycled number now I'm getting the multiple calls from the fecal matter at CMI collections on behalf of Time Warner.  I've taken the time and effort to put it in writing that I have never had any type of account with them, that they are calling a recycled number, and that they are to stop doing it.

CMI knowing that has chosen to continue their calls.  Next stop is my state's attorney general's office, they love busting on these out of control collection agencies.

    dont get mad-get even
they are in federal law violations and you can get $1,000/per violations. advised them they must stop calling or will be in federal violations.
    1.  Being harrassed by repeated calls including robo/computer auto dialers
    2.  failing to identify themselves, they call constantly and you say "hello", there is no one there and line
hungs up without a message even when it goes into voicemai.
    3.  failing to provide the name(s) of person they are calling for (robo-comp. dialers) hangs up w/o providing
a name, regardless if they have a wrong tel #..they must provide regardless if wrong # called.
    4.  failure to provide a contact #(robo-comp dialers) since you say hello, no one there & no msg is given
    5.  making excessive repeated calls, failure to keep withing calling hours set by federal laws; 8am-9pm only.
Let them know "Portofolio Recovery Assoc" got sued by state atty general for the same federal
violations...Report these "B";"F" "[***] to state atty general office, use your power to stop these abuses.
Dont be afraid, you have rights.   There are strength in numbers, use your power.   If you don't want to
    do the reporting, then have fun, call them like other messages here suggest.  Call with "Profanity";
swear words; "B", "F", etc.  the nastier you are, the quicker they hang up on you.

This company calls and leaves no message. Their calling has been intermittent but more than once a week for the past several months. From reading the "comments, " I believe it is some kind of an insurance company. I have never answered the phone and have no wish to speak to them. I am also on the do-not-call list, and have been for years. I am now bothered with all kinds of these 800-888 numbers and it has only happened since I had to change my phone service to Charter. I have no proof, of course, but have to wonder if Charter has sold my phone number or made it available in some way.

listened to message, pressed '0', told operator what you've read so far, was connected to a person, told her my story and that I was looking at the internet while making this call, she asked for the # being called, I told her, she asked if I knew 'Lizzy Twine', I informedf her I don't, I honestly have never heard of her. And I was told they would remove my # from the account. I was polite. She was polite. we'll see what happens. Very greatful for this website.

No they are not an idiot...you misread what they said.  They said when you call ask for Mr. Phelps because there is no one in the office by that name, use of a fictitious name on their part which is illegal is what they were saying....not that you should call and misrepresent yourself.
