I have bee getting calls from the number 800-395-2274 for the last few days. I do NOT have an account or anything with them. They call every half hour or and either hangup or I get a prerecorded message telling me their operators are busy.  Through my local phone service I was able to block their number.  Try calling your own local phone service and see if they can do the same for you.

This is ridiculous, the calls from this number. I try to call back, but since I don't actually have a card with them, it hangs up on me every time for lack of entry.
They call AT LEAST 8 times a day, definitely harrassment.

Get a call from this number numerous times during the day.  When I answer there's never anyone there.  Pure harassment.  It needs to stop.

It's HSBC (Household Bank). I'm a little late in paying the credit card. They are really nice to work with and very patient if you are a little late... or in my case forgetful, ooops!

Never, NEVER! give any of your numbers out to anyone you can't prove who they are. If I were you I'd call the bank and get new cards.  This could have been a scam just to get the number and now they can use that to charge stuff.

They call nonstop all day! but they never leave a message and I don't answer phone calls from numbers I don't know. Most companies will leave a message if you have an answering machine set up but they have NEVER left a message. I'm sure it's a debt collector but I don't know who they are or who they represent so if I answer, I'm afraid they will know it's someone's number and call even more often. They call all day and night and will call 2-3 times in a row!! they are driving me up the wall. They have called super early while I"m asleep and super late, also while I'm trying to sleep so I hope they give up soon because I don't want to answer them but at the same time, I want this to just STOP!

Ok I finally picked up the call and it was "Mark" (so totally sounded from India lol) but he said I forgot to pay my card last month which I did so I paid over the phone and the calls better not start again tomorrow or I'll go ape$*** on somebody! I had them waive the bs fee for paying over the phone and the late charge! He was courteous and polite so I'm glad I picked up and talked to them. It is HSBC for my Orchard Bank credit card. They just wanted me to make my payment so no big deal it was my fault for forgetting to pay it.

Call your bank.  The number is on the back of your card.  Do it now.

The call you got probably came from a scammer.  The bank can confirm it.  If it is a scam you need to close the account you used to pay that bill.

Call received at 1:50 pm (EDT) on Saturday, July 16, 2011.
Caller did not leave a message.
On call return, received recorded announcement, saying "Thank you for calling Card Services. Please enter your account number."

Not knowing who was calling about which card, I hung up.

I have an account with best buy. I called them before my due date because I knew I was going to be two days late.  Asked to talk to a mananger about the issue of being late and they would not let me speak to one. Ok huh? So anyway I payed asap and now I get calls 5 times a day or more. When I pick up I say hello multiple times and nothing happens. Never leave a message.  What is going on?
