I too got strange calls from 1-800-477-9205. Normally when it is bell collections dept. they will leave a message on the answering machine. This number left nothing and it has called 7 times so far today. When my answering machine picks up it sounds like a fax machine on the other end and then it hangs up.

that number called my house 14 times today i counted !!!!!!!!!

I'm in Toronto.  They've been calling the crap out of me.  I actually answered one call yesterday and no one came on the line.  I think it's time to pay them off and cancel my account.  Rogers has been begging me to move over there.  CYA crappy service!

The next time you receive a call everyday or even more than twice a month, tell them if they don't stop you will have them charged with harrassment. YES! You can actually charge them. I guarantee this will STOP the frequent calling. I have done this myself with Bell, because yes, they are very RUDE! The calls have since stopped!

Well  "Bell Collections Senior Agent" I have no outstanding amount owing to Bell and further more Bell is calling my cell phone(not with Bell of course) not my home phone(not with bell either) which cost me money to answer, over and over and over again. 10 times in 2 days, what for??? I have no idea and when I tried to call the number 1-800-477-9205, the representitive had no idea why I'm getting called either. WELL DONE BELL, what a spectacular telecommunications company. Your head doesn't know what your ass is doing and your telemarketing is complete BS, it's disruptive and annoying. You explaining it doesn't make it any less annoying. STOP CALLING ME.

We get calls from this number at least 10-11 times a day, we answer and nobody is there.  So we decided to block the number, but it still calls all the time. Maybe we should call bell and pay for this number to be blocked.

as per law they can call as often as they want if they dont leave a message or dont talk to someone, if they do leave a message or talk to someone its considered a contact, those are permitted maximum one per day, with all that said , I find collectors horribly annoying

Definitely a scam, don't listen to the people who say it is not a scam.  They're probably paid to write those msgs on these boards.  Go to bell website and log into your account to chat to them or call the 310 number.  DO NOT CALL BACK the 1800 477 9205 number.  This is the link to the Bell contact us page:

These people keep calling but when I answere no one talks back to me. I have no outstanding bills with them. Why do they call?

yeah its bell just call it back and tell them to stop.

Got that call several times in the last few days, payment was made. But the system doesn't seem to work. Incoming call, most times is dead air and a dropped connection. Call back several times will also drop the call.

Pretty funny that the "Phone Company" can't get their phone system to work.

I think this is a fake number. My wife answered the call, and called asked to call back on the same number. When I called back there is a recording to dial 101 45787. Nothing happens.

Seems like a fraud. My payments are up to date. I would never call this number and if I need to check the payments records, I will call regular Bell support number and check.

Yep this number calls almost every other hour for us and I think it's because my husband has picked it up and been polite. Next call I get I'm gunna tell them to stop calling or they will be charged with harasment and charged for this call.

C'est en cherchant sur CANADA 411 à qui appartenant le numéro 800 477-9205 que j'ai trouvé votre site.  
Moi aussi j'ai reçu plusieurs appels de ce numéro entre le 18 et le 27 octobre 2010 alors que j'étais en vacances. Il n'y a jamais eu de messages qui accompagnaient ces appels et ceux-ci ont encombré ma boîte vocale. uAjourd'hui ils ont rappelé et étant à la maison j'ai répondu.  C'était une agente de recouvrement qui a menaçée de couper ma ligne téléphonique.  Elle était très impolie, parlait rudement et dans un français très aproximatif (en fait incompréhensible).  Elle ne s'est pas identifié et à refusée de me passer son superviseur puis elle m'a raccroché au nez.  ET mon compte n'est pas en [***].
Un paement a été fait hier dans les limites des dates demandées.

First of all, I'm not a Bell Canada customer.  Second, the number they call is a "fresh" one.  Only activated a month ago.  I did call the number and caught the woman (very demanding) by first saying she was in India and then quickly saying no no Quebec...Quebec.  I also said that they called me and should have any information regarding the number as I refused to give it to them.  She kept saying I must have given the number our to people/relatives etc..nope

I have given the number to Phonebusters plus a recording of the woman from India/Quebec.  Still getting around 7-8 calls/day...thank goodness my phone has a reject list.

Any suggestions to get them from the harrassment?

Every day - countless times at work and at home, usually without leaving a message - my call log on my office phone showed no less than eight times today beginning before 7:00am

They say it's about my bill but it's fully paid up and has been consistently so ...... too bad they weren't as diligent about fixing problems........ mine have been continuous since I switched back to Bell 1 1/2 years ago --- I guess it's my "punishment" for not needing a cell phone

i work for 310 Bell and i also received this call. no message was left. looked up my acct and its fine.
