- JSVoicemail from this number identifying as GTL (sounded like they said GTO). The message said I had calls from an offender at a correctional facility and my telephone provider was unable to bill for this call. The message directed me to call (877) 650-4249 to arrange for billing. It was a first for me, but I can see here this same number has been used for this "jail jingle" scam for years.

- BigA replies to ToeAnd your asking to have your post removed, which I am sure it will be shortly.
- TinaThis is set up thru the jail. When my friend called me from jail, this was the only way to accept call was thru this recorded option by entering your credit card info. You would think it was legit being affiliated with the jail..
(Naive much) They charged $17.00 for 18 minutes. After reading theses comments I'm petrified they might withdraw money for no reason! The next day they called and I did not & will not answer.- Caller: GTL Advance Pay
- GilRobocall from a jail wanting me to accept a collect call. I hung up immediately as this is some criminal trying to pull off a scam from inside. Hope their sentence gets extended as they are pond scum.

- NadineI returned an unresponsive call and I reached a phone menu that indicated that the phone number that I called from is local to the correctional facility from which I received the call. It asked to call (800) 483-8314 or to visit www.connectnetwork.com in order to set up an account under your phone number to receive future calls from this number, or to obtain information regarding your account. I ended the call.
- JaneI have also been receiving these calls from GTL the last couple days. They provide the connect network.com address as well as the choice to call back the number and provide a credit card.

- Jayg324I got 4 calls to my tablet yesterday from this number. It says an inmate (insert recorded I mates name in inmates voice) at an Ohio Correctional facility has requested to add this number to his/her approved list of phone numbers. I don't know anyone in OH and my tablet is never used for phone calls but has a phone number because it is connected through at&t and not just based on wifi. Because I didn't answer any of the calls the inmate (Tyrell I think) is gonna be pretty pissed he's calling a random tablet in North Carolina. Sorry Tdog better luck next time!

- LolaI must be on a “let’s try this number” scammers call list. I do NOT know anyone is prison. Jail. Whatever. They are trying to scam me one way or the other—a random criminal trying to get a gullible person to add money so they call out or a telemarketing scam. In any case...bugger off. Blocked

- Jane Doe replies to lol,,IT'S A SCAM| 1 reply*They’re means “they are” as in “they’re in jail”. Not “there” in jail. 🤦♀️
- BigA replies to Jane DoeIs there a particular reason you are correcting the grammar of someone who clearly posted in here in 2011? Are you really expecting them to stop back after 10 years or are you simply looking for attention by criticizing a really, really old post?
- AmandaI got a call from this number. They left a voicemail claiming something about deta relief and trash like that. This is not from a jail. It's a robotic system using a spoofed number. I blocked it a few days ago but they were able to leave a voicemail without my phone ringing today. What a waste of time.
