- JoeI recieved a call from the Coface people and then recieved another call from someone named Paul Gerber. Neither would return phone call he called from 225-206-7935 first off Private investigators dont call to tell you what they are doing you will find out after its already finished second if you have recieved nothing in writing from someone they claim you owe then it is not real anyway. People you owe has to give you the chance to make it right before collections are involved or at least send you something stating you are behind X amount of days or months. ALL I SAY IS SCAM!!!! Reason I say Scam is Because I dont have anything in my Business Name nor do I owe Anything Period.. I am 100% Debt free!!!!

- NRH Sucks replies to Edd BensonHey 'ole Edd, I just got a call from your lying azz saying you were a PI. You old grey goatee, black rimmed eye glasses wearing, yellow toothed minion. Looks like you need to quit smoking, change jobs and quit calling us. Oh, and I did what you suggested and did the research-maybe tell your dumb company to take you off the employee list. You might want to use an alias like I did back in the day when I was in collections and take your picture off the internet before some crazed idiot you might [***] comes and checks your assets and liabilities. Hey just looking out for your safety. I got out of the business because I found it was not right to treat people like that.
- Perplexed in AKReceived a call asking for me at my business but I wasn't there. Then they asked for my daughter who also works for us. She had her identity stolen last year and went to the police, etc., established that her idenity was stolen. I don't respond to people I don't know so I tried to look up their name on internet and couldn't find it. Looked up the phone number and found this site. I don't know why they asked for me, I have no outstanding debts and assume this is about my daughter's identity theft. Please don't assume that a person is guilty or deadbeat because they got a call from this number. I'm not sure if I should call them back and so far what I've read has not really helped me to figure that out.
- Caller: CC&A? Miss Mary?
- RONThis is a scam. I received a voicemail with some guy who did not mention any names at all and stated that he is investigating a bad check. Well, I don't have any bad checks. He said the company was sitergy (?)

- Happy Coface Customer| 3 repliesI have been a Coface Collections customer since I started working at my current place of employment for the last 7 years. We have been nothing but happy with their work. I have worked with a lot of the people you have all named in your posts and they are all just doing their jobs. I have been given threats and called names several times just for trying to collect money for product given to debtors. I can only imagine what CCNA personnel put up with. They are not a scam. In fact, of all of accounts I placed with them last year, they collected all but one foreign debt - amazing! You name me any collection agency you have ever worked with that has collected 30% or better. It's rare. For all of you angry people out there - pay your bills. If you don't think you owe, talk to them about it. Perhaps your check crossed in the mail or something. Their staff has been very informative and helpful in improving our Receivables at our company. The information they use is information they find in public information and information the creditors are giving them. As far as the people bashing - why? It's business. They are just doing their jobs and trying to collect debts. If you talked to so many people in a day that were deadbeats you would probably assume that way too. I have learned that from trying to collect money from our debtors prior to sending them to Coface. Who cares what their real names are. Get a life and pay your bills so our economy doesn't keep tanking worse.

- kk| 1 replyThis idiot calls and is real flirty and asked "how are you doing today "myname". I was immediately suspicious and asked what I could do for him. He asked for the accounts payable, we don't have one. This is a collection agency trying to collect a fraudulent charge for Cox Communications in Phoenix Arizona. Cox is trying to charge a $1000 cancellation fee for cancelling our service at our business. NOTHING in the signed original contract says anything about a cancellation fee. It is ILLEGAL to charge for anything that is not clearly spelled out in the contract. He is claiming it says we are responsible for all charges to the end of the contract. Charges for what? They also tried to collect for equipment that was returned directly to their office.
- Call type: Debt collector
- kk replies to Happy Coface CustomerI find it interesting that this guy quoted so called information from a contract claiming it states things it definitely does not; we have the original. He also tried to flirt with me at first until I asked what I could do to . help him. He also states he had been contacting someone but that he did not have a name, If he was legitimate, he would know who he is contacting in a company that is owned by 1 person and this information would take seconds to look up online. I do not appreciate getting calls from a so called debt collector for a debt that does not exist and is clearly an attempt by Cox to get money illegally by changing a contract, we all know this is called fraud. You cannot change a written contract. All charges have been paid and equipment returned, there is NO debt yet neither Cox or the collector will listen to reason and facts. You assume everyone getting these calls is a deadbeat, you know, sometimes the one trying to collect is nothing short of a crook and making crap up.
- Mac M.Don't you see that this is NOT debt collection, but rather attempted extortion? Paul Gerber called our business and asked to speak to our Controller or GM. We are a huge business with numerous GM's and numerous controllers. He said that he was hired to investigate our company, but due to confidentiality, could not tell me anything more. He then gave me the name Keith West at CNA, Inc., 800-509-6060 and a case number. He couldn't even tell me who needed to return the call. This recenty occurred at one of our facilities in W.V. They harrassed an employee and anyone else who anwered the phone trying to collect a debt this person never even owed. When called back, they claimed to be an FBI agent, a local Sheriff's Deputy, an attorney, you name it. Yes, the sound very official and very detemined. They are nothing more than pond scum.

They call and want to collect debts for us, the way they treat us on the phone is a big red flag that they are a typical, disrespectful bully collector. I would never use them to collect debts for me.
If you want to lose a customer forever, Use these people.- Caller: COFACE & CNA

I work in a technical support center.
This lady calls frequently from this number, interested in a business proposition to buy out our accounts that have been sent to collections.
I had given her a fake name and sent her to a dead extension, so she calls back frequently asking for somebody who doesn't even exist.- Call type: Debt collector
- Scott replies to Happy Coface CustomerIt's a little different when they call the company you work for to work out a business proposition every single day. They can't take a hint that the company i work for is not interested.

- former employee replies to carol hallCoface is a joke...management is a joke...
a few years ago a bag of drugs was found in the bathroom. apparantly this was happening often and soon after management decided to hire a company with drug dogs to come into the office during work hours. they had ALL employees meet in the atrium area and had the dogs sniff around everyones work stations including the cars in the parking lot.
they found pet meds and legitimate prescription drugs, but nothing illeagal. However each time they found something, they called the employee up to thier desk to explain. Everyone in the Atrium would go "oooohh" as they called people up. it was quite embarassing for those employees who had done nothing wrong, but show up for work that day.
It would have been simpler to just drug test, but then they would have no employees left including upper management..and they knew this.
it was easily one of the worst places i worked at.
and yes, they will do and say anything to not only get a client, but also to collect a debt. - i can help replies to Jeff Berkwhats your email?

- KO replies to AlThe thing is, more and more judges are catching on that the defendants arent being served properly. You're saying a judgement can be rendered against a debtor, however if the defendant isn't properly served in the case, not only can sanctions be filed against the creditor, the judgement itself can be dismissed. That's called "fraud" when you file a lawsuit and then lie about process serving. And here's the other tidbit many dont know--what these lawyers get for filing suit against a debtor is pittance in most instances. If you're slapped with a lawsuit, file your answer and it won't go anywhere. It will cost the lawyers more to litigate and just get through the discovery stage than they will get in the long run. Fight. Know your rights.
