22 Jan 11....Dead air then hang up....I like the idea of playing music.....If I have time to waste I pretend that I'm interested in whatever it is they're offering then I pretend to have a memory lapse and ask them to repeat it all over again, then (oops) someone at the door and put the phone down for a minute, come back and pretend none of the conversation ever happened....You keep them on the line for a half hour and finally say oh....Sorry, I already have one of those....Bye. I've done this to Bell when they've called to say I've won a free cell phone. They haven't called since.

Try Xentel DM, Inc. ...Telemarketers for various orgs. (Shriners, etc.) Recently fined $500,000.00 by CRTC for DNC infractions. And they paid it !!! There must be excellent profit there ....(telemarketing for charities) !!!

No one on the phone when we answer. This is aggravating

not sure where you all are from, but i have had this number and others. same thing for me with this number. dead air and hang up after a few seconds. if i get a number  i dont recognize i answer but i never say anything. this has worked for my family just answer say nothing and keep the line open until they hangup themselves. anyways.... if you are in canada you can report them at this website

they call me once a day for months now......what a PITA

I get that number calling everyday at all hours of the day and I lost count how many times they call. I never, ever, ever answer it. If everyone would just let it ring forever and never answer it they'll never get any money and they'll have to try a different tactic. They'll get pissed off that no-one is donating, but who knows. Maybe they'll just start up again with a new number!

Tip of the century:

Download a wave or mp3 file of a fax machine answering, play it on something so you can record it as your answering machine message, it might take some trial and error to make it sound convincing, call yourself and test.

I tell all your friends to wait for the beep at the end of about ten seconds of "Fax Answering", and it works, I never see the same telemarketers' number twice, and the calls have become less frequent.

They keeping calling everyday acouple tims aday

They call 9 times from February 8th to February 14th (none during the weekend) from this number and got dead air on all of the calls except on the 14th, when I answer it was to give donations for needy kids to go and watch on old timer hockey game in Grande Prairie.  I decline.

these boneheads keep calling all the time when i'm not in...  apparently it's a legitimate calling agency for benefit charity organizations.  I  believe it is the "Old Timer's Hockey League" trying to collect donations for children's charities. Nothing you can do to make them stop calling, not even if your'e on the "do not call list". Do not call lists don't work I have you know. They will still call you even if your number is not listed anywhere.

they just call and say they are collecting some money for children's charity org through "Old Timer's Hockey" charity. They call and say "Hi we are a children's charity..." and i reply "no i do not have any childrens." Then she says "No, we are a children's charity calling for donations through the Old Timer's Hockey Association..."  and i reply "who are you calling an old timer!"  then she says "No, we are the Old Timers Hockey Association calling for donations of behalf of Childrens charities" and i reply "first you call me a child then you call me an old timer, make up your damn mind." HAHA then she says "No no no, we are collecting agency for police charity for kids, working through the "Old Timer's Hockey Association for donations to children's charities,"  then i reply "This is not the police you dialed the wrong number. if you are looking for the police then you have to find the number in the White Pages." then she says "no you don't understand we are looking for your possible donation for childrens charity,"  then i reply "i have no children named Donald, you have reached the wrong number." then she say "oh i see  you're just being a funny guy hey?!" and i reply "i am a elderly woman, and i certainly have no child who is a policeman named Donald!"  then i heard a sigh and she hang up. problem solved

get a call from this number anywhere from two to three times a day.  The most annoying one is during the supper hour.  I never answer, but it is just as annoying to have to hear the phone ring.

It's a telemarketing FOR PROFIT company specialising in promoting events like old timers hockey. They use a sophiticated database of customer info that they've built up over 25 years. (Once you're in it, you never get out.)

This organization has recently reprogrammed their computers to react to busy signals, by hanging on to the phone number in question and continually calling it in a completely aggressive manner, using an escalating repeat call algorithm, hoping that they will catch the person who is supposedly currently on a call.
Today, I had to completely disconnect my phones from the wall to stop the harassment.
Here is an example of calls I received today: (11 calls before I pulled the plug) Time between calls: 56min  3min 2min 2min 1 min 1min 1min 1min 1min 1min.
I had a phone which blocked their calls by transmitting a busy signal. Now they have decided to institute this unbelievable hostile action. These good for nothing morons are completely at war with us.
I checked my phone for calls yesterday while I was away and found the same aggressive tactics in the memory, which has the effect of rendering my phone useless for the use for which it is intended, which includes potential emergency calls or messages from family and friends.
I would like to see some hacker attack this organizations computers and shut them down daily until they get the idea that they are not the smartest people in the world. This is when we need a hacker. We should put together a prize for the hacker that saves us from the harassment we get from these no good so and so's.

Regarding the abuse we receive from this company and others like them. They are on the Stock Exchange, and it's time we bankrupted them.

Flood every Charity you can find with email and paper mail and phone calls and faxes, telling them that if they are using this company, and don't immediately agree to stop using this company, all donations will stop, starting today, until such time as the Charity finds another way to ask us for donations which will not include this kind of harassment.

Flood these Charities with email demanding the outing of the executives and dissolution of this company. Inform Newspapers and Journalists of our actions. Do this relentlessly. Make this a news story.

Destroy their viability on the Stock Exchange. Make their stock price drop until they are bankrupt.
