- Stephen replies to JustMe| 1 replySame here. It was a legitimate reminder of a late credit card payment.
- JB| 1 replyThis number called me early today, morning of the 4th of July. I'm a veteran, and I do business with USAA, but there's no way they're legitimately calling me to do business at 8 a.m. on a national holiday, especially this one.
- Caller: +1 800-531-8722
- Vince FosterRecording said USAA calling about my auto insurance. I called USAA auto insurance. They said they did not call, and nothing in the notes about needing to update my information.
- Caller: Claimed to be USAA
- riddlzLegit USAA Banking number.
Proof Legit- Caller: USAA
- Call type: Non-profit organization
- SporkpotIt is USAA but it can be forged. I do business with usaa and got a call about property insurance. I do not have property insurance with them and the name was wrong I'm the message. When I called the # it went straight to an automation asking to say my full name and social security number. Be careful and don't just call back from the ID . Manually dial back.
- DanielleAutomated call saying to call back in regards to a credit card (which I have and also clearly have USAA) didn't say it was usaa though
- Caller: Usaa
- Lonika Utterback| 1 replyCalled and said he was USAA and there was fraud on my account. Tried to verify my pin and password and change my username. I got hung up on and called real USAA and they said they had NOT called me and that they track all calls.
- Caller: Not USAA
- Call type: Scam suspicion
- BethBe aware of a + symbol before any phone number! I received a phone call from +1(800)531-8722, which was definitely NOT USAA. 1-800-531-8722 is USAA. USAA will never call and ask for account info. They will leave a message or text you and have you call them. I received a phone call from the + number telling me my credit card had suspicious activity, after stating those were not my charges, the person on the line reccomeded a new card be sent out right away, but asked me to verify my account info first.. They’re good, and very convincing. Just remember, USAA will never call you directly and ask for info.
- Caller: Not USAA

- Tim replies to SkaperenThis has happened a few times. And it happened today too. I called USAA right after the phone call and they said it wasn't them. I never give out any info to incoming callers because of people forging numbers. Always call the company directly if they are asking you for personal info.
- BrianI am a USAA member. I received a called what was supposedly their fraud department. Turned out to be someone who had some of my account information and in the end stole money out of my account.
- Caller: 800-531-8722
- BrianThis number is being used to scam USAA banking customers. The thieves have gotten very cleaver. They will call pretending to be the fraud department and rattle off fraudulent charges that “they stopped” but now need to verify your identity to send you a new debit card. They are quite skilled at getting enough information out of you to reset your online banking login and then transfer money from your accounts. Call USAA back directly before giving any information.
- Caller: Fake USAA
- Call type: Scam suspicion
- JaredI received 4 calls from USAA in the span of 3 minutes. I did not answer, and they did not leave a voice mail. I called USAA back directly, asked why I was receiving so many calls suspecting my account had been flagged for fraudulent activity. There was none and they had no record of calling me.
In short, there was no need for USAA to call so urgently without leaving a message. I never answered, but I assume it's a scammer spoofing USAA's phone number. USAA will never call and ask for account info.- Caller: Fake USAA
- Call type: Scam suspicion
- stevenGot a call from this number pretending to be USAA. Told me that my card has been compromised and there have been 2 unauthorized charges. Also asked me to verify address, Pin, etc and to reply yes to security text. If you are suspicious, you should hang up and call the bank back on a secured number.

- MarianI have been scammed in the past day. Yes, I am stupid. Scammers used this number to call me again and pretended to be from USAA. Told them to FO. This number is not always used legitimately, don't believe it.
- Caller: fake CashNetUSA.

- Paisley replies to Lonika UtterbackSame here! Once I realized it was a scam the lady hung up on me. Called USAA and they there was no suspicious activity until after I had got off the phone with the scammer. She was convincing! The number is a USAA number, but with the + in front of it makes it a non-legit number
- Cathy replies to StephenGot a call from that same number, and they tried to say that there was fraudulent activity going on and needed my PIN number to the card in question. When I started to get suspicious the man on the other end started to curse at me, and that’s when I lost it and started to cuss him out for trying to rip me off. I called USAA to verify if there was any strange activity and they replied there was not. The call at first sounded legitimate, but the guy was really unprofessional when I was speaking to him. He was also speaking really fast and seemed nervous.
- SCAMMERS| 1 replyBEWARE!!!! I was scammed last night because my friend looked this number up and thought it was legit because of the comments on here. They called back to back about 4 times and late before I finally answered. They acted like they were calling because of fractured on my account and in fact scammed me!
BE CAREFUL!!!!!!!!!- Caller: "USAA"
- Call type: Scam suspicion
- SCAMMERS replies to SCAMMERSFraud, not fractured
- DogmommaIf this was USAA , which I’m a member of, the number would have shown up (210) 531-8722. Don’t trust the number that called you from the 800 one.
- Call type: Scam suspicion
- MaryI just received a call from this number with the + in front of the 800 number. Said they were USAA and were from the fraud department with suspicious activity on my card in Florida. Not the state I live in. I hung up on them and they called me back 6 times. I called USAA and they said there was no suspicious activity on my account. Definitely fraud. Please be aware.
