    It's a scam - they are spoofing USAA's number.

They keep calling multiple times a day, but don’t leave a voice mail, they let the line ring 2 times and then hang up.

Left no message. This is clearly a scam. I am not USAA customer and not being a veteran, do not qualify to be one.
USAA may be legitimate, but these callers are not.

USAA may be a legit insurance company - but it doesn't cold call people.  The call was a scam call.  You cannot depend upon your caller i.d. to cull out the scammers.

Try re-reading the post you replied to. That person didn't say they received a call but that they initiated the call.

Didn't leave a message.  Obviously masked the real number they were calling from.  These places harvest legit numbers and mask them to get you on the phone. So!  If you don't know the number, then don't answer.  Right?  Don't get involved with them at all.

The number might be spoofed. Anyway, I don't have any account with them.
I've been turned off by their existence ever since they adopted the slogan:

"What you are made of, we are made for."

That makes absolutely no sense, but there are humans out there who love this kind of nonsense credo.

Not USAA, but a robo-scammer spoofing USAA's real number. Message said they were 'credit card services' and wanted to lower my credit card rates.

Just received call from this number (likely spoofed although carrier service identified it as likely spam),   Offered to reduce visa / Mastercard interest rates.  I inquired "which card?"  Their response was "All you card"  " All you card."

I then inquired if anyone really falls for this scam.

She then replied "You should get hit by a truck."

My reply was a tad more "colorful."

05/18/2020 @152pm – 18005318722 – robocall recording claiming this was my final courtesy call to refi my credit cards and the recording claimed to be the dreaded “Cardmember Services”.  Only option was to press 1, no removal options.  Pressing 1 clicked a few times and then disconnected.  I’ve been getting a ton of telemarketer calls lately (credit card refi, auto warranty, solar panels, security systems etc.)  ALL have been forging the caller ID and usually uses the vdialer system at website “vdialer.in”. In this case they forged the 800 number for USAA.  I called USAA and they said they do not do cold call telemarketing and only call members who opt in.  Calls recorded in case these need to be used in court.

Get calls at different times of the day with caller id showing USAA Insurance--I DO NOT have or want insurance with this company so do not answer.  They will let it ring 1 time and then call back later and let it ring 2 times then hang up and leave no message either.

    Not Fooled This Time
I got the call with the USAA ID.  Since I never initiated a call and I'm not in any group that the USAA would care about it was clearly either misdialed or a scam.  I used to work in security and I have seen the setups that scammers can use to fake legitimate calls.  NEVER pick up a call from someone unless you know who they are and in the case of a business unless you are expecting a call from them.  A legitimate company will leave a message and a number for you to return their call (I know almost everyone here knows this, but it bears repeating)
