I just got call on my cell from 800-555-1212, I ignored, no message was left and this is not a first time... Who is give a way our cell phone #'s ? Phone Companies?

they just called me and i thought it was this rock climbing company that i gave my phone number to so i called back and some robot voice told me to say the name of the directory that i wanted..i hope it doesnt keep happening.

I have been getting phone calls from 1-866-830-7473 for the last month and they call 6 or 8 times a day weather i talk to them or not they dont leave a message when i answer the phone i am on hold listening to music then when someone actually is on the other end they ask for my husband and he has talked to them about 20 times they are trying to get money out of him (that wont happen lol)so they called me again today and i ask for there manager and she said that she cant call her ?? what ever that means so i hung up and called the number back and the voice recording gave me 1800-555-1212 to call and it said it was a verison conferance call number ?? i dont know how to get these guys to stop phoning here ? i have tried yelling at them and tried not answering the phone whent hey call but it is getting very annoing ..... so i would like to warm ppl about the other number as well dont give them any personal info !!!!!

They're spoofing their caller id number, as this number is directory assistance and wouldn't be used by scammers to call people.

I called 800.555.1212 Three times, and go that was is no answer. and I was hung up on. I also tried 411 and got the same thing.

I received acall from this # which said they were with the  "Fraud Recovery Unit"  and had some money for me as I had been targeted. They said I had $1100.00 coming back to me.  For verification he asked my birthday, then started rattling off numbers which I was writing down.  I asked what all these numbers were?  And he said they are routing #'s from the bottom of my check ... in which I told him he had no business having that info ... then he hung up !!

I have been getting these calls recently.  It may seem strange, but as soon as I walk through the door in the evening the phone rings and its this number, like it knows exactly when I come home, very spooky.  I finally answered and it was silence, then a hang up.  When I called back it was directory assistance.  I was afraid it was a scam and would see a bill next month for $500 or something crazy, so I called my telephone provider to report it.

I keep getting phone calls every day sometimes more than once a day! I'm really sick of this ... the people just hang up and I am getting very pissed off loose my number NOW or I will call the cops for harrasment!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!          My number is 7072069 delete me from ALL COMPANIES PLEASE!

I got 5 calls from this number one every hour.  They claimed to be working with my back to make my mortage rate lower.  When told them not interested and already involved with my bank, the caller got nasty and started in with a tone towards me.  I hung up the phone and the next hour they called again.  This started at 550 in the evening and ended at 840 total of 5 calls.  They would not send me information in the mail and told me it was against policy, but wanted my mortage information which I was not giving out over the phone.

they just called me they said i won a five hundred doller gift certificet to bestbuy and i got 5 magazines for lil over 14.00 bucks a month.

If I get charged $0.1 I will have your ass in court I work in the legal system and you will be investigated and charged. do not ever contact me again

I got a call from this number (it showed up on my caller id as at&t) asking if they could "speak to Hailee's parents" (I'm  Hailee) so i said no because I thought it was creepy how they knew my name. So I asked may I take a message? and whoever it was never replied.
Creeped me out >.<

Asked to speak with someone in the house. That person is under 18.

We got a call from 800-555-1212 they told me my daughter ordered extra studying materials for her upcoming SAT tests. They wanted $113.00 and asked for a credit card number. I said "oh really whats my daughters name"? they didn't know, then i asked "what school dose my daughter go to"? CLICK They hung up. Tolat scam i asked my daughter about asking for extra studying materials and she just looked at me like i was on drugs. Called the number back it goes to long distance directory assistance.

First they called from this number to which I did not answer and then they called from my own number which proved to me it was just scammers spoofing called ids. Beware!

I got a masked call from an unknown place and and unknown caller. The caller ID was 800-555-1212, which of course, we all know is directory assistance.
The guy kept saying hello, hello, hello, hello. Then he hung up.

FTC has approved the discontinuation of this number From AT&T.  Apparently scammers have picked up on that so do not answer.

Just got a call today. Asking I am one of millions who cannot get health insurance. Exactly the same unwanted calls I have got for months from 414 236-0740. And I am registered on the Do Noc Call list!
