- Laurie7 calls to my NON Bell mobility, pay-as-you-go, cell phone since 10:30 last night. Glad I googled the phone # ... I will not be answering. I am not a Bell customer, I've broken free from Ma Bell. I rather doubt Bell would be rewarding my customer loyalty. Good to know, thanks to others for posting the scam here, I'm about to post to my FB as well

- AnonymI do not want any calls from this number. When will they learn that I am not interested in any thing they have to say or sell. I have called this number and instructed them not to call back or they will be charged with a crime. The fact that some company provided them my phone number is upsetting.

- grrr_ontarioMultiple times a day, message: log in to bell canada to receive $100 credit. Obvious scam, but I don't want to have to pay to have them blocked. I made a contact entry for them in my phone so at least I know by the ringtone when they're calling. They're called "Idiot Scammers" in my contacts list :)

- LSGReceived a call telling me to log in to a website to receive $100 off my Bell Mobility bill. Logged in because the site appeared secure (https) and also was virtually identical graphics to the Bell Mobility login screen (I even opened Bell.ca on another tab of my email browser and could not tell the difference).
Realized afterwards that it was a scam.- Caller: Bell Mobility/Bell Canada

- LSG replies to evanriseHi, I did the same thing. I called Bell today and put a password on my accounts. I also changed my username and password at Bell.ca

- lori replies to BuyerBWare| 18 repliesThey just called me. Asked if I was receiving my magazines. I told them I was not getting any magazines. He said because I was on a financial reprieve for not paying them, He said I had a contract for 49.90 a month and was locked in for 24 months but they would reduce it for 20 months. I kept asking "what magazine,I would never pay 50.00 a month for any magazine" He told me I did not have to be so rude, that I was the one in default of my contract, he was only customer service and I would be hearing soon from their claims/default department. Then he hung-up, SCAM!!!! I have ordered magazines in the past, always through the magazine itself (never a second party) and have always paid for my subscription in full.
Hang-up if you get a call like this! SCAM!!!! - ninhnguyenHi. I have master programming C++ computer languages on 2010 form SCI-training

- Additional NumberI received a call from 1-800-555-1212 in regards to a 30 month magazine subscription. I informed that I never ordered any magazines and if an account had been created in my name, to cancel it. I was told I could not cancel because it was too late. When I asked what magazines were supposedly ordered, I was told that only I and the sales department would know that and was abruptly hung up on. I called my credit card agency right away and was given this number to call, 1-877-720-2805. I called and it was the company that had a pending charge to my credit card account and I demanded that they cancel it because I didn't order any magazines. I was informed that my account had been canceled and assured no other charges were applied.

- Eggroll5215 replies to scamperI constantly get calls on my work phone from numbers with my area code, but none I recognize, and of course they never leave a message, so I'm sure it's someone that has that program all set up to show different phone numbers, which don't even belong to them. I especially like when my caller I.D. is showing 000-000-0000 when my phone is ringing. How stupid do they some people are. I will NEVER answer a call showing all zero's. I just got another call from 800-555-1212, but I haven't had one in some time now, so I guess they're back on my case. Can't stand people, they should really get a REAL LIFE!

- Carlos EstevesI'm receiving calls from this number on my cell phones and my numbers are on the not call registry.
I don't want any calls from any marketing firm.
Thank you - ShannonI get calls from this number CONSTANTLY. When I answer its the sound of beeping, as if its trying to fax my phone. When I call back it won't let me. As someone else mentioned, when I call back, instead putting a 1 in front of the number it says its toll free directory assistance. Then within a minute of me calling back they call me again. Its really annoying. Im getting quite sick of it. Im in high school and after leaving my phone in my locker all day i come back to find I had six missed calls from this number. very, VERY annoying.
- Barbara WhitmireThis happens 2-3 times daily. Tired of it,

- CharlesI have been receiving calls from 800-555-1212 for days. I finally answered and after some strange pauses and noises an "operator" came on, talking fast, energetically and casually as if she was doing me a favor. She claimed to be from Readers Service. Her first question was if the magazines that I receive are arriving damaged and that there had been some complaints from my area. She went into a sales pitch about how she would lower my subscription and cancel my automatic renewal immediately and bring my 30 month subscription down to 20 months. I asked her who she was and what she represented. She said that her service was sending me Field and Stream and ESPN and a number of other similar magazines, none of which I receive nor am I interested in. She said thank you for your time and hung up. But I hung on the line slightly stunned from the call and I heard the background noise of their call center. I said Hello? Hello? but no one said anything and eventually the call terminated.
