Same thing happened to me for several months.  They ask if I am satisfied with my magazines and delivery.  I only take 1 magazine and it is not throuh them.  I have told them over and over "Do Not Call Me"  They tell me I have an open account with them and they can't close my account because a company prepaid for me for 5 years.  Suppossedly 2 years ago They threatened that I would be billed.  I asked for what since my account  was suppose to be prepaid.  They also will not give me a company name. How can I get this stopped!

I have been receiving calls from this 1-800-555-1212 for weeks now.  Most of the time they do not talk but tonight was a different story.  When I started questining why they were a toll free when I called the number, he told me bc it was a secure line that AT&T provided.  So I asked him why he was calling and he said to renew my magazine subscription, I informed him that I did not receive magazines.  He got smart and started mocking my southern accent.  I asked him to remove my number from their system and he said I can't remove your number we don't have a system.  This is crap when you have completed all the steps on the do not call registry and this still happens.

I just received a call from 1-800-555-1212. A lady said she was representing a magazine subscription service and wanted me to authorize or cancel my magazine service. I tried to explain to her that I did not want an automatic renewal, that I didn't use a subscription service. I told her that if I wanted to subscribe to a magazine I would go through that magazine's subscription service. She told me that they would leave me on the automatic subscription, and hung up. When I called the number back, I got a telephone directory. I believe that once again we have people trying to scam others out of there hard earned money because they are too lazy to work like honest poeple.

wow these folks are unreal!! called again today finally was able to answer-wants to know if I'm still getting my magazines at an address I haven't lived at for over 5 years-can't tell me which magazines-decides it's my own fault for not updating my address (for magazines I didn't know I was getting?) and now I owe like 30 payments that they'll just get from me (from what account I'm not quite sure) and when I tell him I didn't order any magazines and you can't tell what magazines I'm not getting he tells me he'll send it to the dispute department. When I ask for a number I can call them back at should I have any questions he says don't worry honey we'll call you since you owe us money....doubtful!

These people call several times a day, sometimes twice in a row. I do not pick up any calls from numbers I do not know. When I called the number back, it says it is some sort of directory assistance.
I just filed a complaint at donotcall.gov, hopefully if more people do this, they can stop them

I have received several phone calls from this 800-555-1212 number.  They say they are from my magazine subscription company and that they want to remove my account from the automatic renewal that is set to happen soon.  Unfortunately, they keep insisting that I owe more money and that they are authorized to offer me a reduced rate on the remaining balance of my subscription, even though I have already paid.  They will not remove the automatic renewal unless I agree to the reduce rate and give my credit card information to them, which I refuse to do.  I also asked for their customer service phone number and when I called the number, it was not in service.

I got a call from 1-800-555-1212 today. The lady said that she was from a magazine distributing center, and that local residents in my area were reporting late arrivals of magazines from their company. She then told me that I was a year over due for payment. I do not order magazines, so I knew something was not right. When I asked for a manager, she immediately hung up on me. When I called back, it was a directory assistance number. SCAM! SCAM! SCAM! SCAM! Please be careful!

I'm getting the same call from the 1800-555-1212 number. My caller ID says AT&T. They are very rude when they do talk, but most of the time they just don't say anything or say something rude. How do we stop this? The number apparently has NOT been blocked and is a toll free directory assistance number for Tell-Me.

This number(800-555-1212) keeps calling me also..
The CID has been blank...AT&T and today Frontier.. wonder what name they will try next time.
This number has been calling( as well as 25 other fraud numbers..most with 800-service as the CID)
ever since i went from QWEST( which also has been calling using the 800 service number)
to XFINITY(Comcast). so sad that people are so deperate for jobs that they lower themselves to commiting fraud and shaming thier name.
