They called, I answered phone. The first thing out of her mouth was if I was the person. I said yes, she said can you verify your birthday, I told her I would not until she gives me some information as to who she is and to where she is calling from and why. She said I just need you to verify who you are. I said no, I will not until I know who you are. She said ma'am I have all of your information. I said good then you know who you are speaking too and you should tell me who you are. She said she is calling from Paragon Revenue Group and said I need you to verify your identity. I said why are you calling me and she said all I've asked was to identify yourself. I said I have and you have not given me any information. She got very rude and said ma'am this conversation is over, I do not have time to play games with people such as yourself. I said, I don't have time for your games, I don't know you, I will not give you any personal information regarding myself and eff you and hung up on her.

Spoken like a pay 'ur billz shill.  So, you know to who this number belongs, but you decided to look it up, go to complaints website, and then exhort people to pay their bills.  No one believes you.

I got a call from this place last week. They said they were collecting a medical bill, despite the fact we have health insurance, and paid our deductible when we visited the hospital. I told them to send me a report of what was owed, and they guy got smart with me. I got smart right back; I asked him how many times am I supposed to pay a bill before someone actually marks it paid? He hung up on me. Today, I got a call again, this time a recording telling me to 'hold for the next available representative'. I hung up.

They repeatedly call me and leave odd voice mail for an unintelligible name that doesn't sound at all like my name. They claim to be calling about a debt, but I don't have any debt. The whole thing smells like a scam.

They cannot block your phone from a 800 number or a collection agency.  It is a coincidence that it happened.  If it is a land line it is probably ants in the phone box . Happens all the time . If it is on a cell phone then it is phone company or if it is a I phone or Droid it may have had a virus to start with . It is against the law to rap anyone's phone without a court order . No judge will give a tap to a collection agency.

Thr keep calling even after I told them I just got my phone number & the person they were trying to reach no longer has this number!  They leave half of message. Like they don't wait for beep or maybe they are trying to get you to call to find out. All my message says "405 417 0384, thank you". Really driving me crazy as they call every two or three days.

Here is what you need to do, using the information CWG40 has provided:

You need to send them a certified, return receipt "not me" letter (think of it as the best $6.47 you ever invested).  Also send it first class mail in case no one will sign for it.  Make a notation of that fact at the bottom of the letter.  You also need to report them to the proper agencies to which I have provided links to.  Then you need to go out and get a consumer lawyer to sue them on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket) and let them pay you for the harassment.  If everyone did these three things, these crooks would be bankrupt and we would all be the richer for it.  Use these web sites to find an attorney in your state that will probably take the case on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket up front):  http://www.consumeradvocates.org/
    http://www.consumeradvocates.org/find-an-atto ... tates_value=All

Read up on your rights here and also make a complaint at this government site:  http://www.consumerfinance.gov/

Also file a complaint with your State Attorney General's office.

This is nothing but a SCAM....I am investing in a whistle that I will now blow in their ears (very loudly I might add).  Probably won't stop the calls for a fictional credit card that they can't verify as mine; and I have no knowledge of.  Just knowing I've busted an eardrum will just make me feel better. Good day

Why would thieves pay for lists, when auto-dialing software can dial numbers in sequence, which costs far less than any list?
