One more thing, if a person is in debt - does it give you a right to be disrespectful!!!  Does it give you a right to LIE and say that babies and teenagers who have NO DEBT do? Do you sleep well at night knowing that if you spoke to someone that way on the street, you would be attacked?

YOU are called a Debt TERRORIST!! Look it up! :0) I wonder how many people would be up to setting up hidden webcams outside of LHR and getting pictures of these people who threaten people and posting them on the net!!

    My lawyer punked you! hahahah!

I have a well respected attorney willing to work on a contingency basis and we are seeking anyone that has had their rights violated by LHR. Please go to Debtorboards.com and learn your rights. I frequently post there as dls7406, that is also my email address @hotmail.com. I have started a thread with more information on the class action suit that we are preparing to file in the 9th District. LHR has absolutely no right to pull your credit as the judges of the 9th Disrict ruled in Pintos that a collection agency has not engaged in a "credit transaction" with a consumer and therefore has no permissable purpose.

you say you are trying to help and tell us "don't sit online and write about how you're not paying"

I DON'T OWE YOU ANY MONEY AND YOUR COMPANY HUNG UP ON ME ONCE AFTER BEING RUDE WITH ME, A SECOND TIME WHEN I CALLED THEM AFTER SHE YELLED AT ME AND A THIRD TIME WHEN I ASKED FOR A MANAGER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

my granparents owe the money not me!  i have no contact with them and according to the people i spoke with they only had my information and my granparents contact information so why were you calling me if you had their info?!?!

you want us to realize that not everbody at LHR is rude but you treat us all like we are deadbeats that don't want to pay our debts when you don't realize that it's not always OUR debts your asking about!!!  stop trying to make your company look like they are great and we are all scum!!!

i also think it's sad you sit there and agree that there are people that "more than likely break the law on a daily basis" - your company needs to be stopped and they obviously are training you that it's ok for you to break the law and still expect others to not break the law and pay their debts - IDIOTS!!

I have rec'd calls for the last 2 + years from LHR. I am in the midst of contacting the FTC. They are looking for a woman with the same last name as the man that I live with. I told them there was no one here by that name. After recently getting out of the hospital with a quadruple bypass, a representative from LHR called and started screaming at me. I will do whatever it takes to make sure that they get their 'just rewards'.

I received a call recently from this company regarding my Juniper Bank MasterCard that I took out years ago after I got out of the service and had messed up my credit.  I used the card a few times here and there, mostly for gas and 'nights out' until I realized that I was being charged a yearly fee for having the card (I tried to purchase something and got denied not realizing that the fee had been assessed.)  I stopped using the card after that and honestly forgot about it, then ignored it once the letters started, then the calls.  I hid for a while then my new wife (bless her) made me take responsibility for my debts and my life.  I dealt with Mr. Hart at LHR.  I settled out my debt for .50cents on the dollar! AND they reported it as a debt paid in full on my credit!!  I know what is is like to be a debtor and be embarrassed or have better things to do with your money...seriously though...the life of a scumbag debtor is a miserable one...I thank my wife often for helping me see where I was going wrong.

    something needs to be done
I am always getting calls from LHR for my brother in-law!I have told them over and over that we have nothing  to do with him and he has never lived here so do not contact us anymore but they keep it up.I thought I read some where that they  can contact a family member only one time, but they keep calling.so dose that mean I have to send them a cease commun letter? how unfair is that,,we go without alot of things so we can pay our bills on time so I just don't think its fair they are harassing us about his debt,I am not in very good health and these calls are not helping.none of our bills are in collection so we should not be getting these calls.

They called my work, which is illegal, especially after being told not to, and they left a message with  my supervisor with details of the situation.  They lie about who/what they actually are.

Pay your debts!!!!!!!!!! replies to Mike

Hmm..wonder why all of you people keep getting phone calls?? Because you spend more time playing on the computer and reading stupid comments from a bunch of other people that never pay what they owe. None of you can pay your debts but you have a computer?? Sell your computer, use the one in the public library, and start paying off what you owe. Its amazing! Really! You buy all this crap or use certain services and then think you never have to pay it back? Cant find a job.. work at wal-mart.. they are always hiring. Too good for wal-mart.. then stop whining. Oh.. and they will do alot to help your credit report... maybe if you paid a bill or two.. you would realize that.

Like your the only one replies to Jimmy
Jimmy.. do a search on basically every collections agency in the US. You will hear bad crap about all of them. The bottom line is people do not want to pay their bills so they get on the computer and blog with other debtors about how they can keep on avoiding paying their bills and how all these companies are the devil. Pay what you damn owe or stop signing contracts you can't adhear to!

They keep calling my parent house...I haven't lived there in like 3 years! What a bunch of jerks! Are they real? They told my parents that I owe a debt and that they will keep calling. I have reported them to the people that handle collection agencies. There is a privacy act and they have violated it if they are real! I am over 18 and my parents were never on the my credit cards! MY personal information is not to be given out, period!

Yes, LHR IS real, and they HAVE violated Section 805 of the FDCPA by discussing this alledged debt with a third party:

§ 805.  Communication in connection with debt collection   [15 USC 1692c]

    b) COMMUNICATION WITH THIRD PARTIES.  Except as provided in section 804, without the prior consent of the consumer given directly to the debt collector, or the express permission of a court of competent jurisdiction, or as reasonably necessary to effectuate a postjudgment judicial remedy, a debt collector may not communicate, in connection with the collection of any debt, with any person other than a consumer, his attorney, a consumer reporting agency if otherwise permitted by law, the creditor, the attorney of the creditor, or the attorney of the debt collector.

Go to the FTC's website and file a complaint:

what an Idiot! replies to Untrue Claims
You come here and claim everyone is making false claims? BS!!! Send written proof of these debts and then we can talk. Meanwhile stop talking to us on the phone. It is a waste of time. You wanna sue me then go for it. Make sure you are suing in the right state (not yours mine) and that the debt is not beyond the SOL. Expect counterclaims if you are wrong which you are most of the time. People are being educated by this site and others so expect to be unemployed soon. Argue with me and I will cost you and your company thousands of dollars. Believe that!!! Try me [***]!
