In response to the LHR person. Just because a person is on your screen as having owed it doesnt make it a fact. Unless of course you are willing to sign a sworn affidavit to witnessing them signing a contract. Number 2, junk debt buyers, own a debt they bought from a banking institution that they already have written off. The obligation of debt is not to the JDB, because again there isnt any contract between the junk debt buyer and the alleged defaulter.

I agree people need to pay their bills, and do it on time. Pay credit cards in full at the end of every month etc. The mean and tactics used by collectors (as a whole) are foolish and illegal. The swapping of personal information and lack of security of peoples identities, is perverse at a best.

I have this company calling me all the time asking for someone I dont know. I have been nice and asked them to no longer call me because I dont know the person even after them arguing with me that they know this is this person phone number. I have had this same number since 2003.

I know the system of collectors is perfect thats why I get calls for people I dont know. There information couldnt possibly be bad or inaccurate. So lets presume that everyone on your collect sheet is a pile of crap who doesnt pair their bills. I will continue to assume that there is a large portion of money that is set aside (as operating costs) for me to get each and every time I sue. Each and every time the system established is not being followed to the letter.

I was called on my cell phone from 1-800-616-5473 from a guy claiming that he is part of a class suit that is giving money to people with a Cellular company giving bad debt notices to the Credit Beurau.  He was offering to give $400+ if I gave him the info on my check to deposit into a checking account.  He might have said something like it would cost me around $200+ to get the $400+.
I told him that he must think of me as really stupid.  I told him that I have recently checked my credit report and no such problems were on it.  Then he starts quoting a different name and address.  He even goes out of the way to quote the last four digits of a SS#.  These people (I heard others in the background) are not just collection agency scammers.  They are scamming anyone in anyway that they can.

There are some of us that are getting these stupid phone calls that don't owe anything to a studid collection agency.

received voicemail from LHR.  They did not state who they were representing.  Wondered if it was a scam.

LHR has called my house 4 times in regards to a person who has never lived here.  A person from LHR named Sarah Reynolds has called as early as 5:00am pacific standard time witch is illegal.  I would like for these harassing calls to stop asap.

Got a call from Mike Calloway w/LHR Inc. Called my x~girlfriends cell she called me. I don't know what it is about but now my wifes mad at me for taliking to the x!

My wife received a call from someone saying that a family member was trying to contact me. When she questioned who the family member was, he gave my name.  When she told him that was my name, he gave another first name with my last name; I don't have anyone in my family by that name.

I was skeptical who this guy was so I called back the phone number and found out the name of the company.  I searched the internet for this phone number and found this site.

I have absolutely zero debts other than a mortgage on my home.  My cars are paid for and I pay my credit cards in full each month.  So, I have no idea why they are calling me and I don't care to even talk to them after reading the posts on this site.

Bill Abrams called my house today for my fiance regarding some debt he owes and yet my fiance has already gone through debt consolidation and paid towards all owed debts and has no idea about this credit card LHR is referring to. He didn't refer to the company as LHR though but instead LA something or other which I think is amusing considering a person a page back got a call for LHR from the same guy

LHR collection agency has been proven to break consumer laws.  They were recently exposed as FRAUD on Dateline NBC.  Basically they tried to  intimidate customers into thinking that they were going to get ARRESTED for not paying their debt. THis is totally false. You cannot go to jail for delinquent credit card debt or medical bills.  maybe delinquent child support or debt to the IRS.

Just got another call from Bill Abrams accusing me of trying to hide my fiances debt from him and making it so he wouldn't return his calls, he accused me of tearing up the mail (we've not received one letter from this company since living here and he gave me the correct address). I've nothing to do with this debt and he constantly calls when my fiance's at work no matter how many times I tell him he's not home during the day but yet now i'm the one getting belittled and yelled at for something I've nothing to do with. He's also given me all the information on my fiance's debt and that I know is illegal, account numbers total amounts and even wants me to be the one to set up his payment arrangements without his concent. oh and he said that this message board is complete bull and they've never been on dateline ever

A Julie Pierce Ext 2261 called tonight to ask for my daughter.  I told her I couldn't give her any info so she told me to tell my daughter it was in reference to her power of attorney. My daughter checks her credit report frequently and there is nothing on it. This is most likely a scam.

Lhr Legal Dept, fast talking lady they must pay them by the words they can get out before they get hung up on.

They call and say I have a debt that I am responsible for and need to repay.  I don't believe they have the correct person.  But you know how it is dealing w/a collections company, they have no information except that you owe $$$$$$$.

Called saying someone here owed them.  We are a large company. Rude and demanding.  Told them to take us off list.

Call from Eric Young from LHR Inc, telling me to contact him @ 1-800616-5473 about an outstanding debt I owed, and that by not answering the phone, he knew that I was listening on a speaker phone, and that was the same as a contact, and that the next time he called that I had better answer the phone.
