Received numerous calls from this number. They are asking for an individual who does not even live in my home and I have no idea who this person is. After repeatedly telling them they have the wrong number and I don't know they person they are asking for I got frustrated enough to yell at the caller. Mr. Dennis Murphy not only continued to harass me but called immediately back after I hung up on him. I called again asking for an address to write them a letter to tell them to stop calling me. He refused to give me the information. I had an attorney call Mr. Murphy back on my behalf, he proceeded to berate and insult the attorney. What a bunch of jerks! He still refused to give the attorney the address to send a cease and desist letter to.

c'mon - i still work for lhr and hate them but in several years i have never seen even 5 people fired at one time... not even in 1 week... the fact that you made 10 bucks an hour to train simply shows you were a newbie who couldnt hack it and now you're blowing the company a bit much... you have some inside knowledge of how the owners feel? they're afraid?  how would you know? and this garbage about people hanging around in crowds? seriously - management rides us so hard we are never allowed to just hang around to harass people - we get our benefits after 6 months - since you couldnt hack it that long, i wouldnt really count you as "successful" - honestly i'd bet my mortgage you went straight to another collection agency so you can continue to get debtors to pay like the rest of us...

You are either mistaken or have been lied to by the company.

It is FLAT OUT AGAINST THE LAW to take a settlement on a debt and report it as paid in full.

I have a feeling that they told you it was "paid satisfied" or something similar.

Check your credit report you might find a surprise.

And on a side note the company cannot "fix" or "help" your credit it is mearly a reporting device and CAN NOT be changed with false information. If it could what would be the point of using it.

they ask me how many drugs i am on. cuss me out, "low life POS" type of thing. what he heck?

I also had a call from these people, looking for my brother in law.  The man told me that he had an application in with their company and that I was listed as a reference.  I made a point to ask him if he was a debt collector and he said no.  He gave me his number and asked me to have my brother in law call him.  I looked up the number and it Was LHR.  I called them back and told them not to call my home again.  They informed me that they would call until the debt was cleared up.  I confronted them with the fact that they had lied to me and they hung up.  Hopefully I don't hear from them again.  They were very nasty people.  I shouldn't have to deal with these people, when I don't owe them any money.

Caller says he is from LHR Inc.  The man had called my house both of my grandparents (both side of  the family) and has left messages saying he has got a legal matter involving me and needing my social security number.

This company keeps calling my house but when I answer it's only a recorded message.  When I try to return the call, all I get is voicemail.  have no idea who these people are, but they call everyday, sometimes more than once............

Got a call here at work from LHR saying they wanted to talk to my brother to clean up some legal matters.  Guy said his ext was 2359 and name was Patrick.

I am on your list, I semi owe you money, at least until my lawyer gets things handled... I do not appreciate the 'scumbag' remark. Short story...I had a partnership in a retail shop, partner took the $ and left town...because I stayed around, I got hit with all the debt and have 2-3 collection companies bugging me for about 45k worth of debt.

 Funny thing is, you are calling my ex fiance at an address I left out of 6 years ago! You are calling up a non valid #, sharing my private information with a third party without my permission, plus she has recorded the THREATNING ways you are talking to her. I already am part of a class action against ARS...and i'm sure I could find one against your company, if YOU are an example of their public relation abilities.

This company threatened to file a lawsuit against me 4 years ago, but as of yet, they have still not filed a lawsuit against me.

I told them-- "go ahead and file a lawsuit.  I don't care.  It will just cost you more money.  I do not have any assets and my Social Security check is exempt from any civil judgment.  So good luck getting paid.  You'll need it!"

And then I hung up on them and immediately wrote them a Cease and Desist Communications Letter and sent it to them by certified mail.  I haven't heard a word from them since then.

They were recently featured on Dateline NBC -- March 27th, 2009.  They are very corrupt.  They are liars.  Don't believe anything they say.  

Just send them a letter saying:  "In accordance with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act I demand that you Cease and Desist from any communication with me."  Send it by certified mail and you will never hear from them again.

One more bit of advice from me...

Tape record their telephone calls, and if they violate the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act by continuing to call you after they receive your Cease And Desist Communications letter by certified mail, you can file a lawsuit against them in federal court and win a judgment against them.

Make sure you say the date and time of the call and get them to identify themselves as LHR and tell them you are tape recording their call, and then you can use it in court against them.

If enough people filed a lawsuit against them, they would go out of business.

That's BS....You must work for LHR! You are such a liar...They don't do that. That is not their biz, and are in the biz of making money, not helping you...

This company called me to say that my neighbor had business with them, but they couldn't talk to them as their phone was disconnected, so they contacted me to put a message on their door to call LHR. The lady on the phone said the names of my neighbors, and knew my name, but neither me or my neighbors knows anything about this situation.

I'm going to tell them not to call anymore next time, but thought I would submit a note on this web site that this company is still harassing people. What a bunch of losers.

I have been getting calls from Bill Abrams also. He has called myself, my grandmother, my parents house and my husband. He refuses to stop calling my husband and laughs at him. He has made ill remarks to me about my husbands job and saying "well maybe he should get a job at walmart" I have talked to his supervisor who also had an attitude with me and eventually hung up on me. They are very very unprofessional but they have not called to harrass me since that day. I have programmed the number in my phone as [***] anyway so I know who not to answer. I have no problem paying the debt, infact I wish I could but just trying to make it in this economy right now is hard, especially with a dead end job and a stupid plagury charge on your record so you cant get a good job and having a toddler its even harder.
