Second call this week - don't recall if the first was from this number.  Claimed to be from Dell Technical Services - sounds too much like the old Windows Technical Services scam so I cut them off quickly and blocked.  Oddly enough both calls were to my cell.  I called Dell Home/Consumer Support (800-624-9897) and they confirmed they have not contacted me since February and agreed it was likely a scam.  I filed a report with the FTC and Dell.

Keep calling and will not stop.

Called 10 times today. No message left.  Most calls use a call ID "DELL", then changed to "V8251............".   I have never seen such aggressive scammer 10 calls from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm.
Blocked it.

Received call 8/29/16  on my cell number from "Jason" stating that he was with Dell. He has heavy Indian accent. Wanted to access my computer because he claims that someone is watching my computer and of malicious malware. He called from 800-624-9896. Told me I could call him back at 866-468-5255  ext 7860. Instead, I called Dell support and they informed me this was a scam call. These people try to get you to let them into your computer and then if you do not pay them, they will cause your computer to freeze up. Also can get your info.  Big scam so be ware!

Scammer claiming to be Dell to get access to your computer.  Get rid of them and change your IP address.

I keep getting phone calls from someone who says he from DELL, but I can't understand a word he is saying plus he leaves the line open so I can hear background noise

I have been getting calls from someone representing himself as from Dell Computer Co.  This first happened a couple of years ago when I phoned Dell and they said they would call me back, which someone did.  Later on, I re-phoned Dell and was told "Dell never refers their calls out.".  Someone at Dell is referring these calls to someone NOT employed  by Dell.  The caller has an accent.

Scam. Cuss them out. They claim to be dell tech. Support but they're not.

Keeps calling over short time periods.  I stopped answering and put on my block list. Want to check my computer for virus.

I just got a call from  Dell. I couldn't understand what in the world he was saying. The back ground noise was terrible. Where are the honest people? This is the third time they have messed me and my computer up. They got quite irate with me and locked me out of the computer. I contacted Dell Tech. and he told me to open the computer under the microsoft account. I would not have any more problems with my Dell. Wrong!! They have remove my whole yahoo account plus ALL my files. I did follow the info from https://help.yahoo.com and I did get my yahoo e-mails. Now today I told the man dell tech that I was locked out and yesterday yahoo was no longer there. I hate all this lying and fraud  going on. People get God back in your lives.

This was the phone number used on the original airing of the Spongebob Squarepants episode "Shanghaied". They had a poll on that episode, and that was the number that was used.

Have been getting calls for two weeks..every day.  Answered once and male said he was from "Windows" and there had been report of virus on my computer.  Wanted me to give him control...no way!  Spoke with real Dell service tech on another issue and they said it is a scam and I should report it..haven't done so yet.  going to block number

They called me but I did not answer the cal, but they did leave a message and told me they were from DELL and are calling for my monthly check up as planed on my deal with DELL. I did in Jan called Dell to help me get my Yahoo e mail  back. They made my laptop  worse then it was before i called them so I got some of my money back. Yet, all my e-mail accounts are lost and I can not get them back!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I only have google email which is kickinitwchrist247@gmail. I can not even get my Micosoft Account back for it does not regonize my emails. So my laptop    they messed up big time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

They just called me and did not answer the call . Now I will blocked the number!!!!!!!!!!! They totally messed up my laptop and it is wordless NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Call me left message with a white women's voice said it was from DELL and wanted to do my regular check up on my laptop. SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dell customer for many years !!! get these phone call often when is someone going to stop and put an end to this !! NO LONGER A CUSTOMER OF DELL for these pukes!!!   Wake up DELL !!!!

Caller ID shows Dell but it is not REALLY Dell.  It is part of an elaborate scam.  The caller purports to be from Dell Technical Service and is bogus.  Do NOT engage with them.

i got a call from this number this morning. There was so much background noise that I couldn't hear/understand anything the genleman had to say. Interesting that they knew my name and phone number. About 18 months ago, the calls started coming in from other numbers than this one. I called Dell and through persistent questions and numerous transfers, I finally learned that Dell  customer files and info had been hacked. The lady on the phone said that everyone who was affected had been notified. I told her I never received a notification of the hack or the loss of my personal info. I will not be ordering a Dell, especially not online in the future. I was so very disappointed in this company and the lack of security or steps to notify customers. Whenever I get a call from "Dell support", I block the call. Within a month, I get a call from another number. I even told one of the callers that I didn't have the computer any longer. The man said I was a f...king liar. NICE!
