- Tygerkat replies to JimmyBWhat do you mean "sponsor"? Scammers don't have sponsors anymore than they have DNC lists.
- NomoCalled cell phone. CID Unknown. No message was left. We NEVER answer any unsolicited call. Judging from pages of posts this is a SCAM from a SPOOFED number.
- Caller: SCAM from SPOOFED number!! Unwanted, unsolicited call
- Oran| 1 replyThis was peculiar. Two calls today showing 800-Medicare. The reason it was peculiar: I'm on Medicare and had a doctor's appointment yesterday, PLUS, my wife just enrolled in Medicare. So... if the world was always honest and above-board... I would think that either my wife or I had triggered a call. However, the volume of fake calls that we receive is astronomical. We no longer answer the phone. Another site says this is the genuine Medicare number, but they go on to say that it is also being spoofed by scammers. So, if it's the real deal I assume they will eventually contact us by mail. We're not going to answer if the caller can't be bothered to leave a message.

- eric136 replies to OranInstall Call Blocker by Android Rocker. Only those people in your contact list can reach you. Everyone else will get sent immediately instantly to your voicemail. The only time your phone will ring is when someone in your contact list calls you. Delete the messages in your voicemail without listening to the message.

- angryGramma8 phone calls six weeks. My spouse answered the phone and thought it was real and they asked for me, so I picked up the other phone and read them the riot act with profuse profanity. I then composed a message to the free call blocked explaining that they CAN BLOCK this number as it is an incoming number only. You will never get a call from this number. REALLY. The guy I screamed at had an INDIAN accent and it was a very noisy call center.

- AlabamenseI hadn't gotten this scam call in quite some time. If the federal government really wanted to do something for the people of this country they would go after telecommunications scam artists and build a special prison just for them, where a phone rings in their cell every five minutes with someone wanting something from them.

- PowermomCalled my unlisted home number. A young man who spoke almost unintelligibly- massacred my first name ,and managed to have my second correct. I kept asking him why he was calling. He was muttering so low I think he said something like "Benefits. a call about benefits " There was a room of people in the background, I assumed it was a boiler room operation. I have not asked for such a call. I told him I could not clearly understand him, but that it sounded like a sales call, so no thank you, and hung up.

- piaI did not answer the call but did call back after I read some of the above posts linking it to Medicare, because they are processing my appeal of a denied charge. The number did take me to Medicare, but they had no record of calling me and said they would not have contacted me by phone. Scam!

- MaryI received a call this morning. It showed up as Medicare on my phone. The man, who was a little difficult to understand, asked if I had received my free back brace which was being sent to all seniors. He knew my name and address which is not difficult for anyone to get. He asked if I had received my new card. I said I had. He said that I would be receiving the brace with no cost to me. I didn’t give him time to ask anymore questions. I said I was skeptical of phone calls and I would contact Medicare myself. Maybe if I had stayed on the phone he would have asked for more information.
- D| 1 replyI received a phone call did not answer. They left a message saying my check would be cut off.

- CardiThese calls come in regularly. I do not answer them.
Maybe we should. Pretend to be old and weak. Pretend to believe their story and give them fake information. Give the impression you suffer from dementia and frustrate them so they have to really ask until you give them the fake info. This is the only kind of "movement" you can join that will cause the scammers to lose interest.
I am going to practice my spiel and have it written down with bogus info and read it off to them when they call. I will hen record the calls and post them on You Tube. I will make money off the scammers.- Caller: 1-800-MEDICARE
- Tygerkat replies to DScam! If there was an issue with your Medicare, you would receive an official letter, not a phone call.
- anonMedicare scam as indicated on the Medicare web site. The number is a Medicare number but they contact you by mail, they do not call you. Blocked.

- FLYNN B.Greetings, I got off the phone with the caller by the name of Jesse who identified herself as calling from Medicare, spelled out our home mailing address, stated the name of my deceased mother on file, and insisted that we needed a back brace to massage us whenever we feel pain instead of using painkillers. I told her that it is NOT good for the customer service representative to anger the customer who doesn’t want a free back massage support just for being a Medicare recipient. Thanks.
