- CGSThis number calls at least 3 to 4 times a day. Some guy with a foreign accent asks for me claims he's from Medicare. I've asked many times to stop calling and he just doesn't. I don't answer the phone anymore, but it's getting to be downright harassment! If it's important they can send a letter!

- KOMMedicare scam. Because it came up as Medicare on my call screen, I answered, but cautiously. I demanded information about the caller rather than giving my name. There were sounds of a loud call center in the background. The caller said he represented 'medicare systems.' I demanded to know what that meant. He said they need to send me new cards. I told him to STOP IT, and to stop scamming people. As I hung up and blocked the number, he was saying 'no, no, no---.'
Medicare does NOT work that way. Ever. If you need information, contact Medicare at 800 MEDICARE (-800-633-4227) or go to Medicare.gov on the computer. They will mail you properly identified things, not call you about your cards.
It is interesting that the medicare scam on this number goes back as many years as this chain of reports indicates.- Caller: purportedly Medicare

- MrHydeUSACaller ID said Medicare. Medicare doesn't call you at 12:30p.m. on a Saturday. They never call you. They only send correspondence by mail, unless you have given them a private email address ( 1 that you would only give Medicare and Social Security, etc...) , and even then, usually it's just updates, not personally directed to you.
- Caller: Medicare
- Call type: Scam suspicion
- W00dyThis is not a valid Medicare number and Medicare never initiates contact with Medicare subscribers. The white pages reverse lookup says this number belongs to Norwalk Medical Group. If you get a call from this number, it is a scam perpetrated by people claiming to be Medicare. Never ever give out any kind of information to someone who calls you. You must always call them at a published number and not one they give to you to call them back. I blocked the number.

- jenWe got a call from a local number and Stacey Molez started asking for all sorts of personal information saying she is calling from the government. Later she says she needs the info for medicare and she needs to get information to size him up for medical devices. No medical devices are needed! The number she gave to call back was 800-633-4227 batch number 70620.

- LMLThis is a legit number that is being spoofed by scam artists. They called our business twice today, including at 1930 hours! Morons. I called the number and spoke with a legit Medicare individual (I'm assuming.) Then the alleged Medicare person put me on hold for at least ten minutes until I gave up. Scammers on one side, obliviousness and incompetence on the other.
