- VivThis number has called my house twice.. they never leave a message on my machine though. CID says Medicare and the number does legitimately belong to Medicare according to Google search but it's obviously NOT really coming from Medicare.. I'm not even old enough to go on Medicare lol! - BrandonI had a missed phone call from 1-800-633-4227. The caller did not leave a message so I decided to dial the number back. When the line was answered, there was a recording stating that I had reached Medicare.gov. I hung up and went online to www.Medicare.gov and chatted with a representative. The representative told me that Medicare did not call me and warned me not to give my Medicare number to anyone claiming to be medicare (I never give any of my info to people over the phone). If you get a call from the aforementioned phone number, do not answer the call, if you do, do not give them any of your information. It’s a scam.
