- Bobby replies to JCWell they called my cell and I know for a fact that I made no call to Microsoft.
- WOWReally? So this number called again, male heavy indian accent supposedly named Robin? yeah right so the scam is my PC is sending them error messages and blah blah blah......
- KateWoman speaking good english asked for my husband by first name, and claimed to be from Microsoft. As this is my personal cell (and the husband was sitting right text to me and shaking his head no) I just cut her off, told her there was no one here by that name, and please do not call back. When I called the number back later (from work with an untraceable and unusable number that shows up on all calls from this company) it was a recording saying it was Microsoft and sounded very professional. But neither of us has had any Microsoft contact for any reason, so questionable nonetheless. This is the kicker: the hubbyman doesn't give my cell as his contact number so no matter who it is or how they got the number, neither of us will be speaking to them, as they are now blocked on both of our cells. Buh bye.
- Caller: claiming to be Microsoft
- Casey replies to DarleneApparently NOT the real Microsoft? I just called Microsoft and reported this number. They called me about someone trying to hack into my account. Which account, im not even sure! I'm driving down the road and only use iPad/iPhone, so there is NO WAY I'm using Windows. They asked me if I was in front of my computer... had my phone and email. I'm changing ALL my passwords ASAP!!!
- CaseyGot a call from this # while driving. They said they were from Microsoft Windows and someone was trying to hack into my computer thru my email, and they proceeded to give me my correct email. Then they asked if I was in front of my computer... I said I didn't understand how someone could be hacking into a computer that was turned off and that I only use my iPhone. They hung up on me without so much as a "have a nice day." I called Microsoft tech support for Windows, who promptly told me this was a scam and don't give them any information at all. The hackers pretend to be Microsoft. Nice!!!
- Caller: Scam! Not the REAL Microsoft!
- Leslie MaslanikGot a call claiming they were AOL or Microsoft that my email was hacked and that they could change my password for AOL during this phone call I know it is complete scam I then hung up and blocked the number they called back

- DeborahGot a call from this number just a few minutes ago. The caller (heavy accent) said she was from the "federal claims department" and that I was eligible for a $9,000 grant that never had to be paid back. She then asked me to giver her my "ID Number." I assumed she wanted my SSAN, so I said, "No." She asked why not. I said, "You aren't with any federal government agency and I'm not giving you that information." She then got rude with me and yelled, "Are you calling me a liar?" I said, "Yes, I am. And the fact that you just got rude with me proves it." I then hung up. Just craziness!
- DeeAsked twice in a super heavy accent for "Rainy" someone, sounded like "Carlson". I had to ask him to repeat it after the first attempt, and I answered after the second that there was no "Rainy" at this number---he simply hung up. My cell was the number they called, and i could hear tons of noise of a call center in the background. I called back from another line and got "Thank you for calling Microsoft!" The system asked for a few words of why i was calling, and I said "Rude call." They said "XBox support, got it!" and started to transfer me; i hung up.
- Caller: Microsoft?
- Call type: Telemarketer
- chadCalled me today claiming to be with U.S. government. I was approved for a grant as long as I was not going to use it for drinking or gambling. Gave me another number to call. I asked what program this was under. She stammered and acted like all of a sudden couldn't speak or understand english. Called the number she gave me and she got mad when I told her I knew it was a scam and told me not to call her anymore. Plan on calling daily. Won't do much good but will make me feel better.
