this number is a phishing call, i called microsoft and they said they have been hacked
& this microsoft number is being used by hackers to dupe you into allowing them to hack into your computer to add malware.  the best open tion is do not answer or if you do, do not allow them to access your computer. I have had over 20 calls  and if I decide to answer them, sthey will give you the same name, an address on boston street and then say the facility is located in san jose,ca.  the giveaway is they pronounce san jose as san joesay.

Claimed to be Microsoft calling and that there are 6 hackers from Mexico have copied my personal IP address amd they are going to take all of my banking information. I told him I dont bank online and I have Norton software. Well that pissed him off because he started getting loud. I told him go find another dummy and take their information, I  can call Microsoft all by myself!

I hv gotten this phone number bugging me EVERYDAY for the past 7 days but all I heaer is a bunch of loud noise but I hv NO WAY TO BLOCK IT!!!!

This guy is in my computer tring to buy 300 dollars.

The number 800-642-7676 called for a two weeks before I finally answered. The caller I.d said Microsoft. I knew it was a scam call before I answered. Sure enough they said I had a virus. They try to take control of your computer to get your private info. Idiots! I told him I don't need his help I will take care of my computer on my own and I hung up!

They call 4 times a day every day. I've asked many times to stop calling. They tell me NO

This is a legitimate call from Microsoft Technical Support (the real ones in Redmond, WA).  I am a Microsoft Partner and I wanted to confirm this is a legitimate Microsoft Support 800 number

25 pages of complaints and statements that the caller is NOT the real Microsoft, and then you decide to post something else, ignoring the fact that CallerIDs can be spoofed?

Readers:
Honest computer companies do NOT cold-call people, or cause popups from websites to tell them their computers need fixing!

Some scammers even have websites, and falsely advertise they are associated with popular software packages or computer companies; so do NOT believe a "we will fix your computer remotely" site, and allow them access to your computer!

They are calling my home several times a day.  I have them on call block.  It's been going on for weeks.  Why doesn't Microsoft step up and work to shut them down?  It says Microsoft on the caller id.

Do not take calls from this #. It's a fraudulent company purporting to be Microsoft. Whatever you do, do  not allow its "technicians" to access your computer.

A woman with a foreign accent called.  I asked her who she was and she hung up.  I called the number back and it said Microsoft.  I know it's not Microsoft.
