This same number called tonight and the caller was very rude. He threatened to take my husband to court on my three credit card debts because I am not working. Can they do this? My husbands name is not on these cards. The caller stated that because I was married, my husband is responsible for my debts. Then I told him about the three year statue of limitations in my state. He then said that it is five years and get your facts straight and said that I should have thought about that before I used the credit cards and hung up.  I called the number back and I got no answer the phone just rung and rung.

Please stop calling my #!!!!

Creditors interchange is a legitimate debt collection agency.  They are collecting on my student loan.  They offered .70 cents on the dollar to pay off my bill, they even sent it in writing.  I can't pay the entire amount lump sum, so i do payments.  As with any collection agency, im sure all the complaints previously posted have happened.  Know your rights, read up on the Federal Fair debt collections practices act.  If you can document their violations of any of the rules, you may sue them.  

Another resource on how they work and how to deal with them is www.daveramsey.com the author of my total money makeover.  This guy has been dealing with them for over 20 years as a financial counselor and he has several resources on his site.  He also has a national radio show.  

But as much as I have dealt with Creditors interchange, they have never violated any of these rules with me.

I had a first missed call from this number this morning. I am glad to find these posts, as I will let these
a**holes have it when I finally answer! I am sick of predators harrassing people (and us) with outrageous phone calls all day long. It is unlawful what they are doing and I will also sue. Thanks for the tips-

I received a call today from this company and the man was nasty and very threatening and said that I must call back and take care of a very urgent situation, but he never said what it was about.  I'm not sure how he got my name but I sure hope we can put these crooks out of business...I encourage everyone to report these people...they are bad!

we are geting very tired of these peoples calling our home  and not explanding what they wont, i dont owe any one. so if they keep it up we will turn it over to a legal advisor.

Got the same call and asked for a person who was me. I told them I was not and told theem the person was in Tenn. playing lead guitar for a starting band for Toby Keith and the guy beleaved me. I figured it was from a fony collector. All my bills been payed off 2 years ago and I still get calls from the jerk water ass wipes..

SO RUDE!!! the first time I got a call from this number, I didnt know what it was so I called it back, they I gave my name and they said not to worry about it must be wrong, I had a feeling was a marketer or debt collector though so asked a couple more questions because I actually WANT to resolve my issues if I have any!! They found my information and they are BILL COLLECTORS.. I found out the couple of ridiculous offers I could accept, took the number and said I needed to consider what I could do.. only 4 days later they called me again, I called right back saying that I needed to discuss what I was going to do, this lady that could barely talk english starts yelling at me , I told her , ummmm I understand being a bill collector probably sucks but you can relax I want to pay my bill, she kept screaming at me saying not to tell her what to do and so on... I got mad told her to f off and if she was really handing my information to an an attorney to go ahead and i'll see them in court.!! she cursed and and said have a nice day sarcastically and hung up... REALLY!!! all I wanted to do was figure out what to do to fix my situation, are they not real people ??? horrible way to treat anyone even someone that owes a little bit of money.. sucks to be them and rather be in debt.. and now since i can't deal with them and have called again and get puton forever hold Im just filing an attorney general complaint!!!

Repeatedly get calls from them daily. Months ago adjusted my phone ringer to off for all general calls and now only have rings set for people that are in my contact list. Have been leaving my voice mail full so that I don't get new harassing messages daily. Have finally had to remove the voice mail feature from my phone. The message I received today was from 800-724-1107 from a surly sounding woman only giving that phone number with no identification saying who she is or what the call pertained to and to return the call as soon as the message was received. I do not call anyone back that does not identify themselves.

My mother got a call from this number. No message. We owe money (credit card companies who doubled and tripled our monthly payments) and I'm sure they were looking for me or my husband. I intercepted the number which was on caller id before anyone else could see it. This scares the h#&& out of me. We're with a debt relief company and are paying the debts we owe but very slowly. The creditors aren't patient. My family doesn't know any of this and I don't want them to know.
Has anyone else has had this problem with credit card payments being doubled and tripled?

Got a really nasty message left on my voice mail about some court case against me with some docket number and legal action that was going to taken because of outstanding debt. The guy was so rude I almost cried and I never cry. I even looked into bankruptcy. I know have debts, I know I need to pay and I will but I don't have a job and am about to be homeless. Nice to know that these guys are just a**holes and do this to everyone and not just me. Not saying that is good, just like knowing that I am not the only target.

Oh yeah, I got suckered into a credit card scam and screwed by BofA. I had slowly been paying off the card but the minimum payment has tripled, interest has skyrocketed and I lost my job. The message that was left on my voice mail scared the c**p out of me and had me contemplating bankruptcy. All my family knows is that I don't have a job and am job hunting all day every day.

Just tell them if you pick it up the the person they ask for dosn't live here and bam they will not call you again. back.

Save them recorded messages. If you need then to fill herasment charges agaist them you will have proof they called and said.

Receive multiple calls, demanding that I call back by the end of the day. However, they NEVER say who they are, or what they are calling from, which is illegal in debt collection practices. Do not call them back, they get nasty.

Called Looking for my 9 yr. old son.  When I asked what it was all about they told me it was none of my business.  When I stated that in fact "The Hell it is none of my GD business!" They began to curse at me..  Now I want someones head.....On a dirty platter...  In this world where identity theft is so prevalent and then to deal with an ignorant uneducated POC over the phone invading my privacy to tell me that my child and his supposed debit is none of my business..  Some one better deal with this NOW!

My caller spoke so fast that I didn't quite understand what she was saying.  The only word that she dropped loudly and clearly was "IRS" - which is quite a bunch of BS, because they then asked for the wrong person.  Oh! the illegality of it all...

Received a phone call from 800-724-1107 today at 1026 AM EST using the name Don Marino, and giving the call back number 1-866-896-5257 with 3140 as his extension.  It took me five listens to understand everything he said.  He speaks in a bold, yet unprofessional sounding voice with slight stuttering issues.

I'm glad I checked here before calling the number back.  No scams for me today.  Thank you very much.

That's a lie.  I've told these people repeatedly that they have the wrong number and they continue to call and ask for this guy I don't even know.  It's been going on for over 2 years!
