This company almost got me too. I made a purchase at Drugstore.com about a month ago using my Shop Shield account. I clicked on the "coupon offer" but I didn't accept it and I didn't give them my email address.  This company still tried to bill the credit card I used for $12, but because it was an anonymous, one-time use VISA card number generated off of my Shop Shield account, it wouldn't go thru for them! Ha! I only found out about it because the Fraud Dept. @ SS called me tonight to ask me about it. Glad this company never had my real credit card or email info in the first place.

RewardReservations got me too. On the call, they claim I said yes for their membership while booking hotels through Orbitz.com. They weren't going to refund the money until I asked about the 12$ charge. They stated that it will take 3-5 days for the reverse of charges. After the call I put a block on that company for my credit card just to make sure they don't keep charging after the cancellation.

Got to love the web. Watch your accounts like a hawk.

Going through my on line statements I noticed monthly drafts from Reservations Rewards for $10.00. Called and was told through a on-line purchase from Collectibles.com I had "signed up" for the membership and authorized the drafts by clicking "yes" to a $15.00 coupon for my next purchase. What? If I did I wouldn't have if I would've known it would cost me $10.00 a month. The rep agreed to cancel the membership and refund the total past deductions to my Visa card in 3-5 business day. We'll see. For those reading this BEWARE of ANY on line purchases and "coupons" attached to those purchases or you might go through the same thing. Unbeknownst to me the trouble of accepting an "coupon" could lead to.

I picked up on this $12.00 reservation rewards charge on my Sept. credit card bill.  I missed it on my Aug. bill so thank you all of the people posting.  I had not a clue I was getting charged for this.  I called my credit card company and they took off the Sept. charge.  Ten minutes later when I looked at previous bills and saw it on my August statement I called my credit card company back and was told they couldn't take it off until I cancelled whatever membership I didn't join.  So my credit card company is inconsistent, that's lovely.  I called 1-800-732-7031 and (fingers crossed) they will cancel my "membership".  I was FIRM to say the least.  This stuff makes my blood boil!! What a scam!!! They said I joined this reservationrewards when I was on movietickets.com.  I remember being on the movietickets site and nosing around the rewards thing and then realized it was lame so I just bought my tickets and got out.  Somehow I was pegged and charged two months.  But I never joined or did a 'trial membership',,,and by the way,,I think my credit card company is in cahoots with them...when I ended the first call to the credit card company (after being transferred twice) the guy said 'thank you for calling reservationrewards'......did I mention my blood is boiling, grrr.

Just saw these blogs. I too just found out as I opened my bank statement that I was being charged by Reservations Rewards. Gwen, the customer rep. was very polite and helpful. I too, never purchased any membership. In fact, she told me that someone used my aol email account with my credit card # when I supposedly bought tickets on Fandango! This is definitely a SCAM! I have never purchased tickets from Fandango. In fact, the day that I supposedly joined, I was at a business conference! So this is total bull! Gwen assured me that I will be refunded. She gave me a cancellation number. I hope that I am refuned in 5 business days as she stated. She also said that  I have been a member since June of last year! This makes no sense! I informed her that I am writing to the BBB and I asked for her corporate office address so that I can write a complaint. In case anyone else wants to write a letter, it is the following:

    6 Corporate Drive
    Shelton, CT 06484

I got billed after orders airplane tickets from orbit.com - they said that i clicked on something that asked if i wanted more rewards & discounts, when you click on it and give uor email address the add you as a member and start charging you.  This happens on alot of websites - these companies are out to get us.  Reservation rewards said that they cancelled my membership and will refund my $ in 3-5 business days. we will see...Has anyone received money back from them????

Same thing happened to me, $12 charges on my debit card on the 16th of every month.  Happened to me through FTD.com when I bought my girlfriend flowers for her birthday.  See what I get for being a romantic boyfriend, last time that's gonna happen haha!  They agreeed to refund all of the charges, which was $72 over 6 months within 5 days.  Waiting to see if they really do so.

I found a charge when I looked at my bank account on-line.  They "got us" when my husband ordered flowers on-line.  The customer service person I talked to was very nice.  WE will see how the charges are refunded.  This is the first time I have ever had an on-line shopping  problem. If it was an added click at the end of the transaction, perhaps the "unhappy consumer" energy should go to the original on-line store who accepted payment to allow Reservation Rewards on their web-site.
I guess it's buyer beware for every click!!

I also purchased items from Woman Within and I bet that is where they connected with my credit card. Well, Woman Within has lost me as a customer. I guess I'll have to go to my bank and see what can be done.

I called the 8007327031 number and they informed me that when I ordered auto parts from auto parts warehouse, that the auto comp. gave them my credit card info.

I was so pissed I called them and canceled my subscription and got my $12 back.

Got a charge of $12.00 on my bank statement for reservation rewards. Called the 800 # and was told I signed up for their program through a site called etix.com -- I have never even heard of this site. I demanded an immediate refund and after the representative got a little snippy with me I requested to speak to her supervisor. She IMMEDIATELY told me the money would be refunded in 3-5 business days.

I will definitely reporting this to the BBB!!!

    I too was a victim of the 800 732 7031.
They said I signed up when I made a purchase at www.smartbargins.com 42 months ago.  I had no idea I was being charged $9 a month until I stopped using that particular credit card and suddenly has citibank calling saying my account was in default with late fees and finance charges for some $9 monthly charge.

Thanks to this website - I was able to make the call as an educated consumer and they claim they will cancel my membership and refund me $378 - yes $378.  It's supposed to take 3-5 biz days.  Will see if it happens.  Taught me to review my statements more closely.

This happened to me as well.  While going through my bank statements/activity we found this unusual $12 take out of my account so I called the 800 # and found out what the heck was going on.  the woman wasn't sympathetic at all, she knew this happened all the time.  i took care of it immediately and i was quite furious, who the hell has right to charging me for absolutely nothing.  now i have to watch my bank account more frequently and carefully.

The charges were discovered when I was going through an audit of my banking accounts, for a messy divorce, with heavy financial court proceeding, and I came across a charge in November 2008, of $10.00 from Reservation Rewards 800732703.

After further research, I noticed that I have been charged $10.00 per month since 12/18/07! I immediately called and spoke to a pleasant enough customer service rep., who cancelled my "membership". It started when I ordered movie tickets on Fandango (That's an expensive movie night!!!).

I did get an immediate email stating my membership was cancelled.

I immediately sent the below email to customerservice@reservationrewards.com   AND Postal Mail to the company address noted.

I gave them a two week span to respond to me and then I'll start hounding them in January 2009.

$120.00 is $120.00!  You would pick it up off the ground if you saw it... Why not follow through and get your money back here!

    Good luck
