- Zantac replies to MUM| 1 replyYou're going to miss some important calls if you ignore ALL toll-free numbers. Not all of them are SPAM.
- Zantac replies to Scot| 1 replyExactly the same for me. It is NOT SPAM. Glad to see that most people have documented it properly here. Others are just clueless.
- K replies to ZantacMaybe I'm clueless, but I don't USE Mail Order for my Pharmacy, so why would they call me?
- RobertMedco does do telemarking as well. Your insurance provider releases your name and number to them and they try to convince you to move your prescriptions to them. I'm of two minds on them, it's a little scammy to call and beg for business, but on the other hand it will likely cost you less and you may not have read your insurance booklet carefully enough to see it. If they call once, I'm likely to give them a pass on it, if they call multiple times, not so much.

- Jakrabt replies to EducatedWell, I use Express Scrips also. You need to cruise on over to consumercomplaints dot com and see just how many people say you are wrong. Get educated, Educated... and stop calling legitimate commenters 'dumb a@@' Mr. Juvenile know it all. Thank You. Good Day.
- JESS90069800-753-2851 is a legitimate number for Express Scripts - Official Site. http://www.express-scripts.com They work with various insurance companies to help with prior authorization to get Rx prices lowered. The highest is a 5, and they can get it down to about a 3. That means a $200. Rx would be reduced down to $45. WORTH taking their call!!! They have usually gotten your phone number from either your Dr. or you Insurance carrier. They do not grab it out of the clear blue sky.

- Paul GThe company is called Medco. They are 100% legit. I recently switched insurance companies and a medication I had been on for 5+ years had been denied. My doctor called my insurance company to gain authorization. Medco called me to tell me my prescription had been authorized.
- Caller: Medco
- pamThis belongs to the NC state health plan, for teachers and some other group.
They are probably newly licensed to sell medicare or something in other states....- Caller: NH state health plan

- FredI've gotten two calls from this number: Mail Pharmacy. I get all my Rx from the VA, so need to talk to Medco. I do not answer calls from numbers I do not recognize.
- Caller: Mail Pharmacy

- TS Elliot replies to MUMEven if you're on the do not call list there are reasons companies can call. Be careful on the Net. Collection calls, election campaigns, government.
- TS ELLIOTI called back it's Express Scripts. They process insurance authorizations for various insurance companies. They were talking about approving a prescription my Doctor wrote.
- Caller: Express Scripts
- ShannonPre recorded message from Medco just to tell me my doctor wanted to order an additional 3 months worth of my meds through my NORMAL pharmacy (they work together) so I don't have to go back again now for three months.. I like that it's a part of the insurance package (I) YOU signed up for.. =) unless it's a wrong number of course for you.

- SickofitI think a legit business like Medco or Express Script should be clearly shown in the caller ID,I'm sure a lot more people would answer.......
- Caller: Medco
- just more nonsenseIF they are legit, WHY are they calling me?
I DO NOT use mail order drugs for several reasons that matter to me. I have no need or desire to deal with these folks.
Therefore it belongs in the SPAM category, solicitation of business without request or want, whether 'legitimate' or not.
My costs are OK with me, what they are and whether I want to deal with them is none of their business.
'Sickofit' is right on.- Caller: unk
- KellyRecorded call regarding a prescription refill (not mine so either the company entered the number wrong or the person gave out an incorrect number).
- Caller: Express Scripts
- Call type: Event reminder
- HowieThe problem is that the number comes up on caller ID as toll free. It would be smarter if it came up as Medco or
Express Scripts. I ignore calls that come up as toll free as I am sure a lot of folks do.- Caller: Medco/Express Scripts
- RedChaosautomated call that Said it was express scripts and gave a message about ending coverage. Said to press * (star) to repeat the message. I didn't, I hung up. Looked up the number and found it might be legitimate so called them back. Was able to get to live support.
The live support said the account was secured and transferred me to another person that hung up.
Pretty sure the number is legit. The Caller ID might have been spoofed though considering the press star thing. - Grandma| 2 repliesThis is Express Scripts- Medco Pharmacy- They handle a large number of insurance drug plans. Sometimes they call to inform you of order confirmation or status of prior approval of prescriptions. They will usually leave a recorded message so answering isn't necessary.
