PRA calls me from this number 7-8 times a week. I have provided them with a contact from the credit card company they say I owe money to as the credit card company said my account was paid in full. They are rude and obnoxious when I answer the phone. I don't answer anymore, but they continue to harrass me.

I have had several phone calls from this number this week, never a message left.  If I'm home I let it ring without answering.  Most of the calls come between 8 a.m. / 5 p.m.  Very annoying to have so many calls in a weeks time.  I just changed my telephone service provider but kept the same number.  The number of calls from other "800's" has also increased.

they don't stop call me. I want them stop call us.

Even though I blocked this number thru my phone service I still get calls.  It is for a party with the same name as I have - but former name is different.  I explained I am not this person - the rep said they'd remove my number.  I doubt it will happen - since I've read the posts and they just hassle.

They call my husband and I and we both have differnt numbers, then they started calling people who live around me.
What in the hell makes them think they can do this!

This # keeps calling me even though I tell them they have the wrong #, they still call me!!! They ask for someone named Elizabeth.

Scammers... They call after 8 PM. Often over & over again.

Call for a co-worker, will leave no info other than a number w/ extension and this is Steve, from TN.  Really do I need to know what state you are in.  They are annoying and treat people like children.

I will not call they back, they have harrassed me enough, I do not owe any past due bills....... I thought when we signed up for the DO NOT CALL LIST that these kind of calls would stop, both me and my husband have signed up for the DO NOT CALL LIST on both our cell phones and our home phone, we are going to just have our land line dis-connected because these type of people are totaling annoying and rude,hateful,bothersome,mean,sarcastic,and I DO NOT appreciate their fowl language////////////////

Received unsolicted call from #800-772-1413 regarding an invalid debt.   I am not the person with said debt (same name). Rep. calling was very....bizarre, for lack of a better term, absolutely no respect (earned with the call to me- or given to rep calling in return) Look over your CORE VALUES People.

my answering machine also has two way record so if I ever
need to record a telephone conversation, it's available.
and it's not against the law if one party consents, that's ME.
I'm one party. so stick your law in a sack. you don't know
where I live. my State allows me to record.

Per FCC rule FCC 07–232, collection agencies are NOT allowed to call your cell phone UNLESS you have provided you cell phone number on the credit application for the debt trying to be collected. This ruling was just made in 2008 when the collections industry appealed the rules for autodialers and predictive dialing systems. It was a partial victory for them since prior to this ruling, they were not allowed to use these methods at all. Now they are allowed if you put your cell phone number on the application since it was truled that this was "prior consent" to comtact you via that number.
Other than that they can't contact you unless you give them definitive permission to contact you using your cell phone. If you were to sue them, they would have to pay you a minimum of $100 up to a maximum of $500 tripled under extreme circumstances. In Ohio you can go to small claims court and collect up to $3,000.00 Save your coll phone statements or get a copy of the incoming phone log.

Does not leave a message. Calls several times. When call the number back. States it is Portfolio Recovery. They used different numbers 866-532-9661 and 877-803-0008 on the same day and a few minutes apart.

Caller refused to identify herself or her company and repeatedly demanded to speak with someone who does not live here.  I told the caller that the person did not live here and demanded they stop calling.  Caller then got irate and yelled at me saying she had never called here before.  I said that the company most certainly did call here and has been told repeatedly that the person they were looking for did not live here.  Caller got more irate and yelled at me further but I hung up.

This is a bank that this company continues to call into.  We frown on these types of calls coming into our establishment, if these continue, we will file suit. Our employees are here to work, we have told them countless times not to call, to use our employees private and personal phone numbers for contact. Still they persist. We will turn this over to our on-staff attorneys who will pursue remedies of our own.

DON'T KNOW WHO THIS IS, BUT IT IS VERY HARD TO GET TO THE TELEPHONE. I AM IN MY MIDDLE SEVENTIES AND DON'T GET AROUND TOO WELL. JUST WANT THIS NUMBER BLOCKED ON MY PHONE.
