Received call this a.m. (11:07)11/27/13. Caller identified himself as "Kevin" and .said he was from Microsoft and I have registry problems with my computer.  I have received many of these call in the past and have tried to get removed from their call list, but to no avail. I responded to Kevin by saying, "Kevin, please take me off your call list. He immediately reponded in a PO'd tone, "Oh shut up old man!. And hung up. Is there no way FCC or FTC or Telephone Company or Microsoft can go after these guys?

numbers keeps calling and hanging up. they've called 3 so far today and its only 01:00pm

This number called saying he knew I was having trouble w my home computer- thing was we hadn't turned our lap top on in weeks and had just turned it on to try to fix it- he had a heavy east Indian accent and said he was w Microsoft tech support - but I see from posts it was not legit as I suspected

I stuttered a little cuz I couldn't figure how would know I'm having trouble and I said "how do you know my computer is on...." And he hung up- tried to call back numerous times but it dropped the call every time- he also called my cell phone #

I've received this call several times. I've asked to be removed from their list yet they still call.

did not answer. looked here for the number. why are they still being allowed to call and attempt to scam people???

My parents both got sucked into this one. My Dad had to pay hundreds of dollars to retrieve genealogy files with years of research after they "fixed" his computer. Then after he passed away my Mom got sucked in when they called her. She thought it was a service my Dad had subscribed to after the first scam.

Just received a call at 8:30 am from this number. I asked to speak to a person I could understand and he caller hung up on me.

the 800-800-8100 is a scam.   I told them I was on a no call list and I know that they are a scam.  They hung up really fast.  So beware.

I received a call from 8008008100 and before the man could finish his "I want to talk to you about your Microsoft windows" "I said my computer has already been serviced and I know nothing is wrong with it" click

Got a call from this number yesterday and i told them thats funny i don't own a computer and asked how they got my number. The not very well speaking english man who sounded like he was from india began yelling at me telling ms im wrong and cursing at me. I laughed, said a few choice words and hung up. It would be nice that since we pay these phone companies thousands of dollars each every year that they should figure out a way to intercept these types of calls.

Constant calls from this number at all hours.  

Called and when I asked where he got my number, said I was a microsoft user. I told him to take my number out of his database that I was on the Do Not Call Registry and he told me to go to hell. I hung up on him.

I received the same type of call.  It is a shame that anyone falls for this type of social engineering but they do so be careful. Microsoft would not just call you out of the blue and say something is wrong with your computer.  Do not provide any information to anyone who calls randomly. Be very careful as these individuals go to sites like spokeo, white-pages, etc and can easily get you name, phone number, address, names of potential relatives etc. With this basic information they can trick you into thinking they are legit. Again be careful- provide no money to any caller, no personal information, no birth dates, no bank information, no account information, do not answer any questions, nothing. JUST HANG UP

My husband got a number that just showed up as 8100 on caller ID.  It was an automated call saying to press 1 to allow state to state access on his credit card.  He just hung up. He called our banks and cards and no one has any business with us like that.

they called me today and kept asking me to do something with my computer like turning something on that there was a problem with something in front of the computer and i hey asked to do something and i said no becuase my mom wasnt home and i said to call me back trw at 7 what sould i do help!

They've been calling me (a guy with an Indian accent) and even left a voicemail message once.  This time I decided to answer and string him along. He said he was calling about my windows computer.  I asked him, "Which one?"  He hesitated and then said "Well, we believe you may be using more than one in your household."  I asked what version of windows and he said vista, windows 6, windows 7.  I asked what company he was with and he said something that sounded like "Italxo in New Jersey".  He told me to get in front of my windows computer for him. I asked why. He said that there are people experiencing issues that they are unaware of.  I asked what and he said it's to address some issues with slow performance, taking a long time to load and things like that.  I said, "So let me get this straight. You are going to call everyone, every household that has a windows computer and just help them out?"  And he said, "No, not businesses. Just homes."  I said, "Well, I don't need help with that" and hung up on him.  What worries me is that there are people that will end up giving him their IP address and if they do any shopping or banking online they will have lost everything. :(

I caller blocked and told FTC. This is a dangerous scam. Please pass word along.

When they start talking just press the #1 key for 5 seconds and say I can't hear you. (The # 1 key or any key)  They will hang up.

Man with an Indian accent asking me to turn on my computer so he can have access. I kept repeating, "what? You want to assassinate Pres. Barack Obama? " He kept asking me to turn on my computer and I kept accusing him of want to wanting to assassinate the president. I told them I was going to continue saying this until the NSA arrested his sorry ass. He hung up pretty fast.
