I was called this morning from this peculiar number. I was expecting a call from someone else and rushed out of the shower to answer it. No on said a word on the other end. I hung up and dried off. On going to investigate the number on our phone with the caller ID function, I discovered the caller was named V20308565200055.

This number has called me several times now, I put it on blocked call. Will they ever stop? They also with our caller id indicating unavailable number. If they are unavailable to tell me their number, then I am unavailable to talk to them! Tell your whole family when to answer or not answer, it gets irritating but they will soon give up, we hope!
It is strange there is no call type classification below named scammer. Strange, they just  attempted to call me now as I am typing this. Beware, it is all about getting money from you!  SCAMMERS!

I think these scammers are getting our numbers from the DNC list!!!

I just got a call from this number the Guy told me there was something wrong with my server. I asked him if he was with Comcast he said this has nothing to do with my Internet but my Microsoft. I said how do you have access to my computer and know that somethings wrong he then got agitated and frustrated and started arguing with me and I said well this sounds like a scam to me, then he hung up.

These phone calls are NOT from TigerDirect.  This shouldn't be a news flash, but the scammer is SPOOFING the Caller ID.  If you looked up the number shown on your Caller ID and it said that the number belonged to the White House, would you conclude that the President was calling you?  Probably not...

I will note that I'm a customer of TigerDirect - but have no other relationship with them.  They sell electronic gadgets and stuff.   They DON'T fix Microsoft computers over the phone, nor do they have Indian accents.

Second note:   Another news flash... by definition, phone scammers operate illegally AND most spoof the return numbers. Since they're CRIMINALS, they do NOT have a do-not-call list, nor do they comply with that legal requirement.  Asking to be put on that (non-existent) list is a waste of your time.

seems like ever since I signed up for Do Not call List the strange calls started coming in. I think this DNC list is a complete sham and maybe the scammers are somehow accessing the list for more victims,. Bottom line I never answer my phone, if its legit they will at least leave a message, but even then be careful.

SCAM CALL: The caller was a woman with an Indian accent who said there was a problem with the Windows program on my computer that had to be fixed and directed me to my computer so she could walk me through it.  I asked her the name of the company and she said "Global IT".  I repeatedly told her I was not comfortable with her and told her she would need to speak to my husband and to call back later. She didn't appreciate my questioning her and hung up.

I am getting this call during the past month.  Have not answered because this number is to odd to answer.

I blocked this one months ago, but they still waste their time calling. I nominate them for dumbest of the scum. Even the number they made up shows they're not particularly sharp.

Rec. call at 830am.  Stating They were calling about my computer problems.  The man was with a tick indian accent.   Told him in did not call regarding problem. he said microsoft  asked him to fox my computer.
Hung up on him.     I have a contract with best buys for problems

They don't know what a IP address is or that Microsoft ISN'T in Los Angeles!.  Call 'em Punjab and hang up on 'em.

This is a total scam folks.  Do not fall for this.  If you do, you will wind up with a hijacked computer and they will demand 100's of $$$ from you to relinquish control back to you.  Usually you only have a few days - maybe hours - to send them cash.  If not, they will fry your box.  During that time they will scan your box for anything that can be used to steal your ID.

Microsoft will NEVER call you.  Just call them a word you like to use and HANG UP.

I just received a call from this number.  The lady on the other line definitely had an indian accent and she went on to tell me that my computer had a virus on it.  I told her thank you and i was not continuing with the call and she said thank you and i hung up

Called but left no message.

I get calls saying they are "Windows company support", not Microsoft. I tell them that Windows is not a company, it's a product and I don't give scammers access to my computers. They hang up quick. They've been calling my cell and my landline about 3 times a week for the last few. They did the same about two years ago and just stopped. Guess it's my lucky year.

Called 10:42 am, 4/10/2015 ID says Toll Free Call. No message left

Same call, two days in a row. Today the think indian accent started.

I asked him if he liked living in our country and all the benefits our country has provided to his family.

I then asked why he was trying to rob people from the country which pulled him out of the gutter.....no answer then "it" hung up.

There is little use trying to reason with these thieves. They are no different than the people who break into your home and steal your possessions.

Being rude is the only recourse when dealing with these less than stellar vermin.

I just got a call from the same number, with the ID Name as V42707242100071. I didn't answer.

After looking through everything in this thread regarding this number, I kind of wish I HAD answered, I'm feeling rather sadistic and would have had a lot of fun playing cat and mouse with the dimwit on the other end of the line... *evil grin*

they call at least 3 times a day..say they are from Microsoft..I usually hang up but this time I screamed into the phone..then hung up..2 mins later unknown name..unknown number..I am going to but a boat horn today for the next call..hehe..
