- seannachie| 3 repliesReceived call purporting to be from a "collection agency" concerning old Sprint telephone bill. They seemed to want all kinds of information including SS#,s but were never specific as to exactly what they were calling about. When requested that they send any inquiries in writing they said they "couldn't do that" - no reason given. Beware...this looks like a scam underway. Also, when question of mail came up they got very defensive - could be a sign of scammer's hesitancy to use U.S.Mail due to fraud laws. Be aware.!!!

- meI also recieved a voice mail from them. After reading this, I don't think I will call them back.
- Taylor| 2 repliesThey've pulled the same stunt on me (Recorded message claiming to be a collection agency), since my number is listed on a do-not-call list I've reported them to both the Texas AG and the Gov's Do-not-call site.

Bud Says...
This company is a class action lawsuit waiting to happen. Sloppy record keeping, failure to validate at every level, under-trained, uneducated collectors SEVERELY lacking in Fair Debt Collection Practices Act training.
Intellirisk must be making BIG bucks in collecting because they sure don't spend it to insure they comply with the laws. Student loans with these idiots is a nightmare. Most Allied collector's don't have a clue in handling even the most basic of consumer complaints. Loans that have been paid, in the wrong names and outdated credit bureau reporting are fast targets for lawsuits because Allied is unable or unwilling to respond.
If you receive a collection notice from Allied DISPUTE IT! Even though you will never receive a reply, it is important that you use the law to your advantage. Allied aptly fits the saying; "the right hand hasn't a clue what the left hand is doing" Brain-Dead! Idiots! Untrained!
May I state again....THANK GOD FOR THE FAIR DEBT COLLECTION PRACTICES ACT!! Someone in Washington must have had a dream about companies like Allied to enact the law. THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
WATCH YOUR WALLET, YOUR CHECKBOOK AND YOUR CREDIT CARDS WHEN DEALING WITH THESE SLIPPERY CONS OF THE COLLECTION WORLD, THEY WILL EMPTY YOU OUT!

- BewareAllied Interstate just got a big contract to collect on federal student loans. That doesnt mean they have the ability to prove those debts. Send the Cease-Comm and Demand for Validation letter. They will go away. Our govt is so stupid they think they can collect their debts by private CAs.
Think about how stupid our govt is the next time you pay taxes or even fill up your gas tank which they tax the crap out of. Is this a govt for the people or for the rich people and corporations? Think about it!!!!!- Caller: Allied Interstate

- AndyAfter reading the many stories, I returned their call, (800-806-3342)mostly out of curiousity.
I was recording the call, and as soon as I said hello, I advised the person that answered that the call was being recorded (notification as rquired by law). She hesitated, then asked me what phone number they had called.
I told her, she asked if the was a "Mike Brady" there, I said, no, and the hasn't been one in the 5 years I lived here.
She thanked me, and said that I would not getting any further calls.
I don't know if the threat of recording the call helped, but it seemed to go very smooth.. now time will tell if they actually stop calling.- Caller: Allied Interstate

- pattyI received a call and the woman was asking for to speak to a sister in law of mine stating that it was a personal matter. I asked her how she got my number and she stated she didn't know. I didn't give her sister's number but looked them up on the internet. She stated that I would not be bothered again as well. Crazy world we live in....
- DaisyStupid people calling looking for someone who first name begins with my first name, our last names are the same. Stupid uneducated Bimbo, hit the roof when I told her I was recording her call! She asked why would you do this, when I asked her did she know why she called my home, she was looking for the a person not at this address! I told this stupid bimbo, not to call my house again.

do not call them or give them any thing.. - this happened to me replies to Jay| 2 repliesI just got two calls (one yesterday and one today) from this number. Yesterday they somehow called my office number (that I NEVER give out) and when my boss answered, and they realized it wasn't me, they hung up on her. Today I called the number back, and they said they were Allied Financial something-or-other and that it was a personal call for me. I told them "I am the person you were trying to reach, what is this regarding?" and she said "I need to first verify the last four numbers of your social security number" and i told her I do not verify that with people over the phone, and what is this call generally regarding...she still wouldn't tell me, so I informed her i do not have any outstanding bills and to please stop calling my number. DO NOT GIVE YOUR INFORMATION TO THESE PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- n/aMessage is incomplete at the beginning and end but asks me to return their call. I get this call every couple of days. Their office hours are Monday-Saturday, but they don't list the actual hours. A pleasant male voice.
