As soon as I got this new cell # this 800 823 2318 started calling & leaving messages for the previous owner of this cell #. So I blocked the # & they never get through now but still call after dozen of times I have called them & ask them who they are trying to reach & to stop calling. You've got the wrong # & your blocked.  STOP CALLING!

News flash. Medical bills haven't actually counted against things that matter which require credit. By law you can refuse to give any information that is deemed personal. They ask for personal info. They don't want you to verify what they have, they want you to flat out give them what they should already have. If a medical company has your social and asks you to verify by giving them the last four, a red flag should go up. Think about it. When do you input any information like that at a hospital? NEVER.

They don't purchase accounts, only service on behalf of the hospital.

The same with me only I never went to the hospital location they specified.  Hung up and immediately
blocked their number.  Medi -Credit is a Scam, a Hoax.  Don't interact with them.  If you can BLOCK Them, DO SO.  If you have Caller ID (CID), DON'T ANSWER.

I see there are numerous posts in this thread that tell you how to deal with them.  Perhaps instead of replying to a 5 year old post that person will never see you should have used the energy to read those informative posts and learned how to stop the calls?

Called my mom and left a message,  called me and I picked up but no one was there. Asked my mom for me by name but didn't say what they wanted. I don't know these people and refuse to give them any money.

I get phone call for a hospitalización to a hospital I will not take anyone in my family to. Worst hospital in Hillsborough County Fla . I told this person several time I never been hospitalized and they keep on and on about it
It should be somewheres you can call and stop this collection people. Today the continue the calls this time is someone I have no idea who it is. Reporting this don't work this collection people never ever stop. Whats funny I never received a paper bill grom the hospital

I bought a new phone and received a new phone number with the new phone. I started to receive phone calls from 800-888-2238. They claim they are a collection agency representing Barnes/Jewish hospital. I have never been to Barnes/Jewish hospital. Maybe the person that owned the phone number before me had an unpaid debt with the hospital. Maybe the caller is just a scammer.

Caller ID shows Medi credit. They call my landline phone. The automated voice states who they are collecting for. In this case My Local Hospital's name.Trying to recover past due Hospital medical bills that have gone to collections. And Just asks to call them back.  Which has happened to my wife.( I called the hospital ) I asked if they use this service. And they affirmed that they do use them. We do make payments directly to the hospital now. But the hospital doesn't inform the agency of this.

Left VM: "Hi this is Medi-Credit... [another message/voice cuts in] THIS IS A CALL FROM A DEBT COLLECTOR. PLEASE CALL US AT 800-823-2318..."  From reading the comments it looks like this is a real company, but I suspect it's a scam anyway. I don't owe anyone anything and my credit is frozen so they are barking up the wrong tree.

They are trying to collect a bill that is over ten years old!

Debt collector keeps calling for a Lauren. They have the wrong number, yet continue to call after being asked not to call my number again since there is no one here named Lauren.  They are calling to collect a hospital debt.  Annoying!
