they keep calling and hanging up/

Calls all the time regarding a hospital bill i make monthly payments on.   When I informed them that I was paying thru the hospital and that I didn't need anything from a third party it left them speechless.  Continue to make payments to the party you owe and ignore these vultures.  Let's put them out of business.

I get calls from this # constantly & like a lot of people have stated it happens from early morning to late evening, here's the part I have a hard time with when this # calls or others like it, my adult son has medical bills, not sure if that's what they r calling about but pretty sure the messed up part is when my voicemail picks up the call & if its from this # or one like it, it says this message is for so & so & if u r not this person please hang up now, 1st of all its a voice mail how can u hang up when its left on ur recording so then when u don't hang up cause once again its on a voicemail it says that by staying on the line u acknowledge that u r this person & the recordings leaves the info for this person saying something like this is an attempt to collect a debt & so on & so on, I myself would be furious knowing they were leaving personal info on someones phone about me because u can't say ur not that person when they r leaving a message & its  on a voicemail, I think that is very wrong & should be reported, so be careful cause if they call a # & its not your # they will leave private info on whoevers phone they call & like I said when they say if this is not so please hang up now & since ur voicemail is still going then it says since u did not hang up then ur acknowledging ur so & so & leave the person info, so be aware

If you ain't got a call blocker...Shame on you.....  In todays world, you're begging to get scammed or
harassed..  There is no sense NOT having call blocker...  Most services offer it for free, and even if it costs
a couple of bucks....  What's  your privacy, and freedom from these maggots  annoyance WORTH?????

They called this morning and hung up when I answered

I keep getting calls from 317-542-3764 but no one leaves a mssg.  I won't answer the call.

202-697-7222....telling me that they're calling from Washing D.C. and that I am going to receive a $10,200 grant from the U.S. govn't and that the money never has to be repaid.  I hung up.

This is MediCredit.  They have called me repeatedly (on my cell phone usually during the day while I'm at work) until I finally answered the other day.  When the woman came on the line, she first asked for me and I told her I was the person she was asking for, she then said she had very important information for me and would I confirm my date of birth and mailing address.  I told her I wouldn't as she called me and if she wanted to give me that info I would confirm or deny they were accurate.  She asked me then if I received a letter from them, which I hadn't and I told her the same.  She then asked me to confirm my address so it could be re-sent.  Again, I told her I would not provide her any personal information.  She then asked for my phone number.  I again said, YOU CALLED ME.  She was snotty with me and couldn't believe I wouldn't cooperate with her.  Eventually she went silent, I thought she hung up on me so I then hung up.  They stopped calling for a couple of days, but just got another call about 10 minutes ago.  They never leave a message.  This time I blocked their number on my cell, so not sure if that will stop the calls or not.  I looked them up on the BBB and they had an F rating and had about 120 complaints against them.  I will NEVER give my info out to anyone who calls me.  That's just dumb!  They may be legit (I really don't know), but they are going about this the wrong way.

800-823-231 . . . just a scam pretending to be a legitimate medical billing service.

Block and report!

Called my dad's cell asking for my mom. I lied and said she wasn't home. My mom has never received any medical bills from this company, so why are they calling her? On my DAD'S phone???

I just got a call from 800-823-2318 this morning. I just got my new prepaid phone # this past Friday. WTH? Nobody I've ever done business with has my new number.

It's probably not a *new* number -- it's much more likely to be a *recycled* number.  In other words, it was assigned to somebody else first and then reassigned to you after the previous user of the number decided to get another number (perhaps to avoid these calls!) or decided not to pay for his phone service any longer.

So you now get all the "benefits" bequeathed to you by the previous user of your number.

I would try to block nuisance callers in some manner that doesn't cost you minutes for each blocked call.  Ask your carrier if this is possible.  If not, and you cannot get satisfaction from your phone carrier, either switch plans or switch carriers.

Stop calling!!!!! they call every dam day geezeeee!!!!

Anoying nonsense "you searched for a job..bla, bla" machine talking. I have never searched for job's online, and never given my number to someone I don't know.

800-823-2318 . . . it's a scam, and they're hoping to get lucky and have you believe that they are representing a medical institution you're dealing with. They're not. It is speculative calling hoping for a sucker.

Dear 800 Notes . . . under 'Call Type' below, why isn't there a scammer/thief/con artist option please?!

Called my place of business.  Picked up and hung up. Best way to handle that at work. We do not have call blocker here, so I do  need to pick up each call.

I believe this is a branch of government accessing your phone to manipulate it to serve their purposes.  Perhaps the camera. I get the call at perculiar times. Sounds crazy,  but I can't help but wonder.

They are a collection agency for medical bills.  I'm sick, dumbass.  So I blocked them.  Go bother the pharmaceutical company that made me this way.  Thanks, and don't call us; we'll call you.  

800-823-2318 = Sacmmers without a shadow of a doubt.

You'd do well to add them to your address book, giving you the opportunity to block them.

Then report the number.
