No message left why do they waste people's time and their own energy on this nonsense??

Left me a 3 plus butt dialed voice message that consisted of muffled voices and clicks.

Direct voice mail message stating they are medicredit for regional valley hospital in Brownsville tx.

Collection recording.  For unpaid medical bills. Definitely a scam, beware...

I can confirm, that's Medicredit. In my case, collecting an overdue bill.

This number is very similar to the number of a business I'm expecting you hear from, so I answered. After a couple of seconds, a heavily accented voice came on asking if I was [name I never heard of]. I said wrong number and hung up. If they call again, I'll block them.

I know exactly what youu mean.  Just paid a bill from them,  Total balance due $1500, I sent them $25.00, and they'd be happy with that.

So you paid extortionists?  Good luck because you can be sure they will keep coming back and will sell your name as an easy mark.

As soon as I got this new cell # this 800 823 2318 started calling & leaving messages for the previous owner of this cell #. So I blocked the # & they never get through now but still call after dozen of times I have called them & ask them who they are trying to reach & to stop calling. You've got the wrong # & your blocked.  STOP CALLING!

News flash. Medical bills haven't actually counted against things that matter which require credit. By law you can refuse to give any information that is deemed personal. They ask for personal info. They don't want you to verify what they have, they want you to flat out give them what they should already have. If a medical company has your social and asks you to verify by giving them the last four, a red flag should go up. Think about it. When do you input any information like that at a hospital? NEVER.

The same with me only I never went to the hospital location they specified.  Hung up and immediately
blocked their number.  Medi -Credit is a Scam, a Hoax.  Don't interact with them.  If you can BLOCK Them, DO SO.  If you have Caller ID (CID), DON'T ANSWER.

Called my mom and left a message,  called me and I picked up but no one was there. Asked my mom for me by name but didn't say what they wanted. I don't know these people and refuse to give them any money.

I bought a new phone and received a new phone number with the new phone. I started to receive phone calls from 800-888-2238. They claim they are a collection agency representing Barnes/Jewish hospital. I have never been to Barnes/Jewish hospital. Maybe the person that owned the phone number before me had an unpaid debt with the hospital. Maybe the caller is just a scammer.
