- AnonymousI received a call from this number today. It's a complete scam. DO NOT give money to anyone over the phone. The best advice I can give, is ALWAYS check with the original company you owed money to. NEVER give money until you validate it's a true debt with the original company.
- Call type: Debt collector

- Just Plain John| 2 repliesWonderful,So Whoever had this Number Before Me (T-Mobile Pre-Paid) Owes Debts & It's going to screw with my phone that I bought so I can monitor my Internet Radio Stations. Never Fails!!!
- Anyone replies to Just Plain JohnT-Mobile is supposed to have a scam blocking service. If you just got the number, I would have it changed, hopefully the replacement is not a recycled number.
- anon replies to Just Plain JohnPlease don't blame whoever had the number before you. Most of the 'debts' this company collects are garbage, so a call from them is a good sign that you DON'T owe anything. Plus, they know it's illegal to call cell numbers with an auto-dialer but they do it anyway.
- JL replies to Me| 2 repliesYea, they're bottom feeders trying to collect on debts that are no longer collectible. Ask for paperwork, they never have any.
- Julia replies to D| 3 repliesDo they have aright to call my cell phone? I dont know who they are collecting for. having read the responses here no one is saying what company they represent in their call. So do they call on student loans? Those people have changed agencies numerous times and they are threatening. You'll be sorry type stuff!
- BigA replies to JL| 1 replyOnly two states regulate the collection of debt so that it stops the same time the statute of limitations runs out. Other than that, all debt is collectable for eternity. See my post on page 21.
- BigA replies to Julia| 2 repliesThey may or they may not. It depends on whether you gave that out to the original creditor as a contact number. I have posted an extensive report on this company on page 21, but the company has been identified since the first page. Threatening is not allowed. You need to read page 21, and use that information to make them follow the law. You need to report them, and I have provided the links necessary for that on page 21 as well.
You should also do this:
You need to send them a certified, return receipt debt validation (by law they have to go back to the original creditor to prove you owe the debt) letter (think of it as the best $6.59 you ever invested). Also send it first class mail in case no one will sign for it. Make a notation of that fact at the bottom of the letter. You also need to report them to the proper agencies to which I have provided links to. Then you need to go out and get a consumer lawyer to sue them on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket) and let them pay you for the harassment. If everyone did these three things, these crooks would be bankrupt and we would all be the richer for it. Use these web sites to find an attorney in your state that will probably take the case on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket up front): http://www.consumeradvocates.org/

- Milena| 3 repliesI talked to them because they sent my fiance a letter who has been incarcerated for 10 years. I gigured it was a scam after a few minutes, but I had already given them his social security number. Can they do anythinf with that?

- BigA replies to Milena| 2 repliesIf he is incarcerated, I'm thinking that SS# is useless. For the rest of what you need to know, it is all posted in this thread. I suggest you read it before you become the victim of a crime yourself.
- Milena replies to BigA| 1 replyThank you. I have read a bunch of it and I am going to send them the letters provided etc. Thanks so much!
