I received the same letter from the IRS, I just created my account with the IRS to see my past tax document, due balances, which were all zero owed to the IRS. Very Upsetting that they had my social security. I would put a credit freeze with all three credit bureau if you received this fraud letter.

You are upset because the IRS has your SS#?  I'm a little confused about that.  Did you think that they don't know your SS#?  Yes, if you set up an account then the IRS will send you a letter.  It will come in an official IRS envelope and on an official IRS letterhead.  But hey, don't believe me if you don't want to.  Simply call the IRS up at their known, published phone number from their official published website and ask them.
