lol. you sound like me (I).   I detest Verizon and I'm freaking stuck with them- but not on my cell phone which is where I found this number.

This number showed up on my cell phone of course I never answer any ringing phone, 3 of them 24/7.  I don't know why Mrs. Verizon would call my cell phone as they are not my carrier, not even close.

Shows up Verizon, and asked for who ever was in charge of making the decisions on our phone/ internet purchases. I told her very nicely that we were not interested and hung up.

Why would Verizon or any other telco even bother to care? Their mindset is to make money coming-and-going!
Now if some politician could actually put everyone of these idiots out of business, permanently, that politician would easily have a lifetime appointment in office.

Blank air- then, press  1 to accept 2 to leave a VM.....

The owner of this number has to be in another country because they don't seem to care that they call you 2-3 times a week offering vacations and hotels! www.funbeachvacations.net  How can these scum bags continue to call from random numbers and NOT face any consequences?

It's called 'phone number spoofing' and the callers are most likely in a country where the US has no legality to do anything to them

Called today 12-7-18. When we answered, nothing! These butt holes should go back to “THEIR OWN COUNTRY” and us AMERICANS who work for a living at a real job alone. THIS IS NOT THEIR COUNTRY!!!!!

Telling people you never heard speak to go back to the country they are probably calling from is a sure sign of your intelligence level.

Probably was a valid call, a survey after having a technician out.  Doesn't mean others aren't massively spoofing the number, of course, just that Verizon also still uses it.

you should NOT respond to suspected telemarketer/scammer calls because:
1.  When you pick-up; you confirm that the number "dialed" by their computer program is VALID
2.  You get put on a list of "valid phone numbers" that can then be SOLD to other telemarketers!
3.  The best thing to do get BLOCKER apps for your cellphone & ignore calls to your land-line (and let them go to voicemail!)

Someone saying they are calling from Verizon wanted me to press 1 and provide information. I did neither. It is either a scam or Verizon does not have current customer lists in order. These attempts at fraud (or incompetent harassment) should be punished.

Just received a call from this number saying it's Verizon and that my account is locked and to press 1. It's a scam I checked my account and it's fine. Blocked the number.

Press 1 now, otherwise press 2 was the message left from this number, 100% Scammer.

I don't think they even care. It's Verizon - they push thru thousands of scam calls a day...

Five phone calls in a half hour.  What do  they want?
