- Babbetski| 6 repliesDaily, we get calls from New Jersey or New York wanting Verizon Customer Serivce. Our number is just 2 digits off. We thought all of these customers were miss dialing, but in reality it is Verizon's call overflow system that is transferring the calls to us.
- Caller: Verizon
- Call type: Valid
- CeeCee| 2 repliesThis number is Verizon's customer Service number that also appears on my caller id with telemarketing calls. Even if you attempt to call, you will never get any one except junk ads while on hold and a counter of your place in line. I get enough junk mail from them similar to the junk ads on hold. I worked for the "telephone company" in the good old days, and the customers then thought a couple of minutes was too long to be on hold, not the 30 minutes I was on hold today. Also, forget calling repair service, because it was normal to wait three to four weeks for a repairman until recently our state public utility commission said they would investigate due to high customer complaints.

- Becky| 3 repliesI saw this number and i was sick of Unavaible numbers coming up and i picked up and said DONT CALL HERE!!! should i have not done that??
- Ted| 2 repliesI call shenanigans. I've been getting messages this week from some half-wit named 'Maureen' who can barely form a complete sentence. She leaves the above toll-free Verizon number and claims I need to call her back between 8am and 6pm in order to 'reverse the charges'. Better yet is that my CID indicates the calls are coming from a day care center in Maryland..
- Waldo| 2 repliesCallerID identifies the caller's name as Unavailable. I didn't pick up so I have no idea who is calling. If they were a reputable outfit with a good social purpose, they'd identify themselves.
- TEDVerizon automated call to verify DSL install appointment.
- Caller: Verizon DSL/FIOS

- Kaeli| 1 replyI had to repeatedly call Verizon for a service/installation error THEY made RE: my 82 yr old Dad's account transfer to a retirement community. They repeatedly transcribed my simple service request erroneously into their call documentation software. They never apologized. I was charged $1.95 to receive a call back when their call volume was through the roof, and I was still trying to get them to right their wrong. This company has a virtual monopoly, and the quality of their customer service/technical service continues to deteriorate!

- linda diaz| 5 repliesDo not call this phone...There are too many calls from you...If I need service, I will call you...This is abuse and I am on a no call list...You have no reason to call me...
- Caller: VERIZON
- BrandonI received a call from this number with a message for my mom. I asked her what company she worked for and how she knew my phone number, but she would not answer. She simply stated that her name was Mrs. Johnson and that she had a message for my mom.
- Caller: unknown
- Elaine P| 1 replyThey've called twice. Went online to Verizon.com. Had to reset my password.
Have called me to confirm it was me. Sadly, I do no answer "Unavailable", "Out
of Area" or any other blocked numbers. They should identify themselves as
Verizon. I'd pick up then. Hellllooooo! They can program their numbers to list!!!- Caller: Verizon
- New Verizon CustomerEveryone that says this number is some other crazy scam thing needs to remember that it is possible to spoof the number that comes up on caller id. Being that verizon is a large company, I would not be surprised if there are MANY scams out there using this number as their "ID" number. Got to verizon.com to find the number there.
- Caller: Verizon
- Kristen| 2 repliesThis is the number that is used when my husband does his call backs in the evening. He works for Verizon and he has to call all the customers he worked for that day to verify everything was ok. Not sure about anything else mentioned above.
- Caller: Verizon
- jmI had work done on my dsl line because of at least two loop problems this year. This number is 1-800-VERIZON. On my VoIP system, caller id with toll free area codes are blocked due to too many telemarketers and charities calling with toll free area codes. So if they need to talk to me, don't use a toll free area code as the caller id. Or respond to one of my emails. Actually, since I get dsl from a reseller, I feel compelled not to return any of Verizon's calls, and work with the reseller directly.

- heropinThis is Verizon Fios calling me with my temporary pin number. I just requested online for Verizon to call me with the temp #.

- CS| 1 replyThis is legit. Verizon technicians call you from this number to keep their cell numbers private. I had a tech over at the house and he called from this number as a follow up and gave me his cell in the message he left.
- Caller: Verizon Service Technicians
- beakt replies to linda diazYou realize this is a forum for us to learn from each other, right? This isn't where you post messages to the owner of the phone number itself.
- beaktI got a call from this number in response to an FCC complaint I filed against Verizon Wireless for overcharging me (again). It was a human calling, named Stacey from the "Verizon Executive Office", who left a voicemail asking me whether my FCC complaint was about my wireless or landline service. She gave her callback number as 800-483-8561.
- Caller: Verizon
- Charlie| 1 replyCalls up to 4 times a day when I'm at work and cannot answer. I cancelled Verizon because they wanted to send someone two weeks after my requested install date. Is that why?
- harrywHad them call me, today, about changes to my agreement, which is really funny, because I use Sprint.
- CZizzleI got a call from this number today, but declined it, as I do with 99% of the calls I get from numbers I don't know. They didn't leave a message, so I checked here. If it really is a Verizon call, then they've called me by mistake. I'm an AT&T customer and have been for years.
