This was a call from the Verizon tech who installed our system on Monday. Just following up to see if everything was okay.

Legitimate call from Verizon Home Services.
Called my cell # because call was dropped while on hold on a land line.

We get calls from this Verizon number trying to solicit our business. We use three Verizon services, but don't use their TV service -since my hubby works for a competitor and we get about 1000 free tv stations. Repeatedly, we ask to get off their call list, but for heaven's sake, the calls continue - about 3 times a week.

No message left.

I'm on with Verizon now and they don't know why I was called.  Their number is probably spoofed.

I had about 3 hours to sleep before a busy day and no sooner had I gotten to sleep than the phone rang.  I answered.  No response.  Nothing.  Second time I *69ed.  1-800-837-4966.  Third time I gave up on sleep having only a few minutes more anyway.  I'm in my 60s.  Tired.  Had a very bad day dealing with my computer, partly because I had no Internet service.  Hours before I started getting these calls I called my provider...VERIZON...and confirmed that it was a problem at their end and they were fixing it.  I thanked the East Indian guy...yeah, big surprise...and when he asked I told him no e-mail message re. the problem was necessary.  When the problem was fixed it would be fixed and I could get back to solving the computer issues that I was working on.  So instead I get these calls harassing me and keeping me from getting much needed sleep?

I consider this to be the rudest invasion of privacy and mis-use of private information (my number is not listed) and, I don't know folks, what do you think...class action law suit?

Oh, and as a Post Script, not only did I receive these harassment calls with no one on the other end of the line, no recorded message, nothing, but I try to get on my e-mail, which worked fine earlier after their problem was fixed, and I get nothing but a screen otherwise blank with this only on the page:

Http/1.1 Service Unavailable

Further harassment the way I see it and I am not receiving the service I am paying too much for and that makes it fraud.

i'm getting several calls from 800-837-4966 suddenly starting today.  they leave no message.  i never answer calls from 800 or restricted numbers - nice try!

I answered the phone and there was nothing but silence. I did have Fios installed yesterday so maybe it is legit and someone was calling from Verizon to confirm all is good.

This is a follow up survey from Verizon to assess the customer representative to whom you most recently spoke.

Probably Verizon calling regarding my call to Tech Support for our DSL outage this weekend. However, they did not leave a message.

This number spells out 1-800-verizon.  I received a call on my cell a day after they worked on my line.  Other than being spoofed, this is a legitimate number for Verizon.  You can call it to request a repair, answer questions, etc.  It is NOT for FIOS issues.

4 calls before 1pm, I pick up and they hang up.  I called back, asked why they are calling, operator says "give me a moment to find out" and hangs up.  

I don't even use the line they are calling on - its really a disturbance.

Verizon left msg following up on service call 3 days earlier.  Service was down when Verizon cut my DSL copper line, when switching to fiber optics.

I got this message on my cell and through google voice I DO NOT have any Verizon accounts!! Very weird indeed. I will look up the actual verizon number online and call that. I am NOT going to call this number.

Please block this call, calls from this number are bordering on harassment.

I switched from Comcast to Verizon several days ago and have since then been plagued with calls from Verizon by people who can hardly speak English. When I get a phone call like this on my cell phone, I put it into a file named CRAP so that every time the number shows up it says CRAP is calling me, and I don't answer. Works like a charm.
