- slick23| 1 replymy boyfriend and i just moved into our new house not even a week ago and i have had at least 3 or 4 calls a day since our phone was first hooked up!!!I have Comcast and I never answer the calls and I put my number on the DO NOT CALL LIST and five minutes later they called again!!!They are very very very annoying.
- BrianPhone been active for about 3 weeks now. This number has called almost daily for 2 weeks.
Still calling wanting me to buy magazines. DOn't know how many times I have to tell them that if I wanted a magazine subscription I would have already had one.- Call type: Telemarketer
- bleeblopI have gotten several calls since my new land line was installed friday (today is monday). TWICE today i have asked tehm to stop calling, and advised that my number was on the national Do Not Call Registry. I was hung up on. I tried calling back - the line was busy. I did a google search, and called the main number - which gave me an automated message stating "there is no voicemailbox on this line". Then tried the Customer Service line....and apparently that is closed (funny, they just called).

- steveI just moved in and setup my digital phone service through charter in mn. I subscribed for an unlisted number and to be put on the no call list but within 12 hours of having my phone line setup, I received several telemarketer calls from the various news papers and this phone number 800-845-2074. No one was on the other end of the phone when I answered so I hung up. I sure hope this doesn't continue for it seems some others have had worse experiences.
- for all COMCAST usersI have the same problem but... dial *60 (call screening) from your comcast handset and listen for instructions then when prompted add (800)845-2074 (or any number you want)
NOTE: When adding the number make sure you don't use the 1 before the 800. It does help , sometimes. - butrflymomAsk for Mr or Mrs Yoder when I said they were not here. She said it was a
courtesy call. - rachaelthis is insane. how do they get our new numbers? they should be put out of business.
- Call type: Telemarketer
- NCI also got my digital phone service from comcast and got 1 call from this # ( for now) 4 days after I got the service. It has been 10 days now. But I also got quite a few calls from other solicitors starting next day. One of them called me by name. This number is not published, but I was able to get my name and address through USSEARCH for $14.95. Amazing. I am sure all these companies do not pay $14.95 per phone number. They buy them in bulk, likely from comcast( or other provider ). This is why I have not had landline in years, but comcast sold it to me as a package. I did not want it, but they insisted. I am sure it is part of their plan to sell all these phone numbers. The more, the merrier. I just unplugged my phone.

- Stephanie replies to bobI'm noticing a pattern here. I too just received my phone number a week ago and have not given it to anyone but my parents and my employer. I just got digital phone from Time Warner and the installation tech was from comcast. I got a new number mostly because of the constant unknown caller calls that i was receiving from 8am to 9pm and was hoping for some peace and quiet.
- BdunfCalled me 2 times today have only had this number for a week. Thanks for selling my information Comcast. No message left either time. Called like 3 hours apart.
- awI also started getting these calls within 2 days of getting a new number.

- NMSomeone from this number has been calling for days. I answer it and no one is there or it is disconnected immediately. Very frustrating. I tried to call back some of the other times with no luck as I would get a recording saying all circuits were busy. This time I called back as soon as our call was disconnected and I got through, a lady answered saying it was some sort of Family Reader, yada yada yada. I informed her that they've been calling repeatedly and they needed to remove my number because I'm on the "Do Not Call Registry", she said they would remove it. I told her that I better stop getting calls from them, or I would turn them in. Geesh! This service was just recently switched from Vonage (which I got no solictation calls) to Comcast Digital and it's been a pain trying to stop people the calls. Keep trying!! Good Luck!!

- Rachie21I just got a new phone number about 1 week and a half ago. Ever since then, I've been getting very random phone calls from companies. This is one that calls and there is no answer. They have called about 3 times now. I though my phone company sold my number out (brand new number only 2 people have it and it's in my name, not my husbands and they knew my name). Comcast assured me they do NOT sell numbers out. I believe them, and they told me to register with the do-not-call list. I hope it ends soon!
- rachie21*Update* I just called the number back. I got the computer who said "family reader service" and asked me to stay on the line. So I stayed on the line. It took about 10 minutes or being on hold and I was patched though to a real person. I told her I was part of the "do not call" list and said she would take me off and there would be no more calls. Let's see if this works!
- rainyi to just got my new number a week ago. because of the annoying calls and yes they called me to so far just once, to bad a wasnt home when they called. i just signed up for the no call list today i sure hope it works.
